In the next office......................

"Yusuke, meet Kurama, my fiancee and boss' son.  Kurama, this is Yusuke."  Botan informed the two.

"Nice to meet you."  Yusuke was getting used to meeting the people.

"Nice to meet you."  Kurama echoed.

"Hiei~?"  the girl glanced around.  "Mou!  Where is he now?"

"I think he's at the copy machine?"

"Oh, okay.."  she tilted her head.  "He knows how to work it?"

"AH, %^&*(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"  a voice exclaimed, annoyed.

"Oh, there he is now."  she smiled slightly, gesturing at the boy banging on the copy machine.

"Someone fix this f***ing machine~!"  he called out, frustrated.

"A..ah!  Hiei~!"  she sighed, dragging the boy away from the machine before he blew it up.  "Hiei, this is Yusuke, Yusuke, Hiei."  she introduced.

 "Hn."

"Uh...nice to meet you..."  Yusuke said uncertainly.

"Hn."  he glared at the other boy.

"Y..Yusuke.."  Botan sweatdropped.  "Do you think you could fix the copy machine..?"

 "Uh...sure."  the boy nodded.

"Okay."  she turned to her fiancee.  "Kurama, I think we need to cool him off before he blows up.."  she pointed down at the fire-demon, whose arm was beginning to smoke.

 "Y..yeah."  the redhead nodded.

 About an hour later...................

"Aw, stupid machine!"  Yusuke scowled.  "It's broken permanently, okay?  I can't fix it."

"What are you talking about?!"  Kuwabara entered, grinning.  "I know a way to fix it!"

 "How?"

 "Here!"  he snapped his fingers.

 "And?"

 "It's fixed."

"Huh?"  he slid a paper through the machine and typed in the number one.

 The copy machine worked flawlessly.

"AHHHHHH!"  he shook the other boy, glowering.  "If you knew how to do that, you should have done that an hour before~!!!!!!"

"I didn't know about the copy machine, I was asleep."

 "..."  he fell over.

"Anyways, I had to tell you that you have to do something good in your life so you can stay alive."

"But what if I don't want to stay alive?"  he questioned.

"Who cares about that?  You wanna stay alive, okay?"  he made a face.  "Anyways, if you don't stay alive, I'm gonna dis-uh, nevermind about that part."

"Fine, then.  What do I have to do?"

 "I dunno."

 "..."  he sweatdropped.  "Big help."

 "Yusuke-kun!"  Keiko rushed in.  "Yusuke!"

 "What?"  the boy turned expectantly.

 "You have to come quick!"

 "Go where?  Why?"

"There's no time for questions!  Just hurry up and follow me!"  she ran out of the room as fast as she could.

"..."  he shrugged.  "See ya later, Kuwabara, that is, if I don't die first."  he waved and was out the door.

 Outside...........................

Yusuke widened his eyes.  "Botan?  Botan?"  he shook the girl, confusion marking his face.

"..."  Hiei crossed his arms, leaning against the wall nearby.

 "What happened?"  he questioned.

 "I think Botan-san-"  Keiko began.

 "...mmmmm.."  the other girl stirred.

"Botan!  Are you okay?"  Yusuke asked.

 "Mm..-hmmm.."  she blinked.  "Oh!  Yusuke!"

"???"  he held her to him gently.  "What happened?"

 "..water..."

 "???"

"Maybe she wants water?"  Keiko questioned.

 "..."  Botan nodded weakly.

"I...I'll get it!"  Yusuke lay her down and ran off.

 Back inside.......................

"So what was happening?"  Kuwabara questioned.

"Ah, you again!?"  he scowled.  "Get out of the way, I need to get some water for Botan."

"So what happened?"  he handed the other boy a bucket of water.  "Here."

"..."  he scowled.  "You already know what's been happening, then!  What happened to her?"

 "That shrimpy bastard burned her."

"..."  he narrowed his eyes.  "I didn't like him from the start.

"Anyways, hurry up!  Maybe this could be your good deed or something!"

"Oh yeah, I forgot all about that!"  he rushed off.

 Outside, again.......................

 "..Where..is..Kurama?"  Botan questioned.

 "He went out..."  Keiko answered.

 "Oh.."  she smiled slightly.  "Good.."

 "Good?"

 "..."

 "What happened, anyways?"

"BASTARD!"  Yusuke opened the door, handing the bucket to Keiko and stomping over to the other boy.

 "Huh?"

 "..Yu..Yusuke!"  Botan sat up, wincing.

"Don't move.  Just stay there."  the boy commanded.

"..."  she lay back down, closing her eyes.

"Bastard."  he pointed at the fire-demon, who glared at him.  "What did she ever do to you?!"

"Hn."  Hiei turned away, rolling his eyes.

"Look at me when I'm talking to you!"  he shouted.

"Please..Yusuke.."  Botan started, her eyes flickering open.

 "Stay out of it!"

"..."  she stood shakily and moved over to him.  "You weren't the one..bur-"

"I know I wasn't!"  he pushed her away.

 "..."

"Just stay out of it, okay?"

 "..."

"Anyways, why did you have to do that?  Huh?"  he shook the other boy roughly.

"..."  Hiei turned, his expression cold.

The boy took a step back, sensing danger.

"H..Hiei.."  Botan moved forward, stepping in front of her friend.  "Please..he doesn't know what he's talking about.."

"What's going on around here?!"  Kurama glanced around, confused.

"K..Kurama!"  she ran over to him, hugging him tightly.  "Hiei..um.."  she pulled up her sleeve and showed him her wound.

"Hiei!"  the redhead glared at the boy.  "Why did you do this?"

 "Hn."  Hiei turned back away.

"I..it's okay.."  Botan said timidly.  "It doesn't hurt anymore..Yusuke brought me some water.."

"..."  her fiancee nodded gratefully at Yusuke.  "Good.."  he turned to leave.  "Everyone, please get back to work."

"..h..huh?!"  Yusuke blinked.  "So you're gonna just let him get away with it?  Aren't you going to punish him in any way?"

"Punishment isn't the only solution."  he smiled.  "And there's nothing to do."

"But...but he burned your fiancee!"  he exclaimed.

"It's okay, Yusuke."  Botan glanced down.

"See?"  the redhead smiled again.  "She doesn't mind."

 "But..."  Yusuke began.

 "It's okay."  the girl repeated.

 "No it's not!"

"It is.."  she moved over to him, kissing his cheek softly.  "I'll be fine.  It isn't a bad wound.."

 "But it's a wound-"

"I'll be fine.."  she repeated.  "Thank you, though.."  she smiled.  "Don't worry about me..you always..cared for me.."  she turned a light shade of red.  "..you're always doing good things..for me.."  she winked.  "If I didn't find Kurama, you would have been my husband.  Wouldn't you?"  she grinned slightly.

"..."  he blinked.  "Me?  Doing good things?"

"Yeah."  she grinned again.  "Okay, you've done your good deed of the day, we've better get going-"

 "Good deed..."  he echoed.

"Mmm?"  she smiled at Kurama.  "We'll be in soon."

"Okay."  the redhead went back inside.

"..Yusuke.."  Botan widened her eyes.  "Wh..what's happening?"

 "Huh?"

"There's..something around you..a light..yellow/orange..light.."  her eyes closed slowly.

"...???"  he gasped as his arms involuntarily wrapped around the girl.  "What...'s happening?  What about a light...?"

"Yusuke.."  her eyes opened slightly.  "The light..it's so beautiful..maybe I'm just imagining something.."

"..."  he looked around.  "No...I see it, too..."  It has to be because of her...

"..."  she shook her head, pulling away.  "W..what was that?"

"Huh?'  the light suddenly faded away and disappeared.

"..."  she blinked, moving forward and touching the boy timidly.

"Huh...?"  he widened his eyes as her hand began to glow the same color as he had been.

"..is it because of me?"  she stepped away.  "I..I'm sorry..!  I didn't know.."

"No..."  he pulled her back, leaning down and kissing her gratefully.  I can stay alive now...?

 "Mmmmm.."

"..."  he blinked.  "S...sorry..."  he moved away.

 "Why..?"  she tilted her head.

"I...already know that you're gonna marry Kurama..."

"..."  she brought him back to her and kissed him softly.

"A-hah!!"  Kuwabara shrieked, breaking the two apart.

 "O..oh!"  Botan blinked, bright red.

"Ah!  Kuwabara!"  the other boy grinned.

"Good job!"  Kuwabara beamed.  "You passed your first mission!"

"Mission..?"  Botan blinked.  "Who are you..?"

"..."  Kurama disappeared from a nearby corner into the building.

"My name is Kuwabara Kazuma!"  Kuwabara announced.  "You're Botan, right?"

"Mm-hmm.."  the girl nodded.  "What are you doing here?"

 "I'm Urameshi's friend!"

"Y..you are?"  she glanced at Yusuke, confused.

 "Sorta..."  Yusuke said.

"Oh..well..nice to meet you, then!"  she shook the other boy's hand.  "I..I should get back in.  Kurama..Kurama's going to be wondering why I'm so late."  she bowed and ran into the building.

 "Bye!"  Kuwabara waved.

"Oy, Kuwabara."  Yusuke began after she was out of ear-shot.  "What was that weird light...?"

"The light that came when you two were together?"

"Nah, really?"  he rolled his eyes.  "What other lights were there?"

"Um...the street lights, the lights in the building, the lights from that restaurant-"

"Forget about that!  What was that light?"

"How am I supposed to know?"

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"  he flung his arms in the air, exasperated.  "So you don't know?!"

"..."  he grinned slightly.  "I know, I know."

 "Then what was the light?"

"How am I supposed to know?"

 "AHHHHHH!!!!!!"  he fell over.

 "Well?"

"..."  he figured out what the boy was looking for.  "I know."

 "Well?"  he repeated.

"You're supposed to know because you're a stupid guardian angel, okay?"

 "I'm not stupid!"  he argued.

"(Are too.)  Fine!  Smart guardian angel, happy?"

 "Yep!"  he beamed.

 "Now tell me!"

"It's because you two are such good friends."

"...oh."  he glanced down.  But...just that one time...it felt like we could be more...

"You can't be more than a friend to her, URAMESHI!"  the boy shrieked.  "She's going to be married in about a month!"

"..."  he glared at the boy.  How'd he know...?

"I told you that I know because I'm your guardian angel!"

"Yeah, yeah, I believe you."  he sighed.

"Aren't you supposed to go back to work now?"

"Huh?"  he blinked.  "Oh yeah!"  he turned to leave.

"Wait a sec!  I have one more thing to say!"

 "What is it?"

 "January tenth."

 "What?"

 "January tenth."  he repeated importantly.

 "What about the tenth?"

"January tenth."  he pointed at the other boy.  "You will die."

 "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!"

"Here's what you have to do..."  he trailed off.

"Okay, so?  What do I do?"

"You have to have an older girl hug you and say 'thank you!', okay?"

"Hug me and say thanks?"  he rolled his eyes.  "That's even stupider than the good deed!"

"So?  I wasn't the one who made these things up!"  he waved.  "Anyways, good luck!  I'll see you later!"  he disappeared.

"..."  he shrugged, heading back into the building.  "Oh well, that can't be too hard."
