So, you wanna find out more about the master of this webpage (and your pathetic universe...oops...forget that last part ^_^;;)? Well, here's everything you never wanted to know about ME! (Can you see my ego inflating?)
Left: A pic I drew of Chibi Sailorspazz
Right: Me and Josh in Japan at Himeji Castle in July 1999 (It was a school trip, and our former Japanese teacher took the pic).
Real name: Stacey
Nicknames: Sailorspazz, Queen of the fishies, Lady Loincloth, Yamaochi Iminashi (my fake Japanese name ^_^), Spamtastic, Spazzercise. Most are nicknames I gave myself and don't actually use (though the last two I have actually used while playing multiplayer computer games like real time strategy and shooting games). Names I have been known by in the past are Aquafresh13 and Sailor Aqua. The former one is the first screen name I ever had waaaay back when I first started going on the Internet in 1996, and I changed it to the latter after I started really getting into anime (Ranma ½ and Sailormoon were, like, the shiznit to me back then :P) The change to Sailorspazz came in early 1998 (Well, technically it was SailorSpazz^_- for awhile, but I later decided to simplify it).
Birthday: May 21, 1983 (Same as Chichiri na no daaaa!)
Sex: Female
Height: 5'4"
Marital status: Married to a wonderful man named Josh (see above pic), who I began dating in December 1998, got engaged to in July 2002, and married in August 2005. We met in high school when me and some other friends were trying to organize an anime club. One of my friends told me about a guy in one of her classes who was into anime also and she introduced him into our group of friends, and the rest is lovey-dovey otaku hisory...ahh, so romantic ^_^
Apperance: (See above pics ^_^;;) I have dark brown hair and mostly green eyes (sometimes they can look brown or hazel). I look young for my age...people may like that when they're older, but it pisses me off at my current age :P I'm kinda thin, but not like an anime character ^_^;; My hair is very straight and reaches about half way down my back. Oh, and I also got glasses when I was 17 for my crappy distance vision :P
Location: Portland, Oregon
Schooling: Graduated Cum Laude from Portland State University in Fall 2004 with a B.A. in Japanese (one freaking hundredth of a GPA point more and I would have been Magna Cum Laude). In Japanese class we sometimes referred to our school as "Podai" (since Tokyo University is known as Todai, we decided to make our own shortened version instead of always saying "Pootorando shuuritsu daigaku" ^_^). I'm currently working at a job that vaguely relates to my major, working in the gift department of an Asian store called Uwajimaya, but I do hope to return to Japan some day!.
Interests: I love anime, obviously ^_^ (to see exactly what anime I've seen, go to my list). And if you think I'm obsessed with anime, I'll have you know that I also enjoy manga (as my many bookcases prove :P) Some of my more "normal" interests are drawing, writing, playing video games (DDR!) music, and computer games (Empire Earth and Age of Mythology will be the death of me!)
Favorite animals: I've always been a cat person (and a Trigun personality quiz said that I'm most like Kuroneko-sama, so I guess that applies literally ^_^;;). I currently have a cat named Leopold....he's my chubby wubby wittle baby (yes, I'm one of those people who speaks absolute cutesy absolute nonsense to my kitty ^_^) Here's a picture of him looking crazy with his big glowy eyes:
Favorite non-anime TV shows (Wow, you mean there're shows besides anime?): Lost, Frasier, South Park, The Simpsons, Futurama, Family Guy, 3rd Rock From the Sun, The Drew Carey Show, Whose Line is it Anyway?, Iron Chef, The Daily Show, Monk, the fine programming block of Adult Swim, and *ahem* I'm a bit of a reality show freak.
Favorite music: My favorite j-pop groups are Two-Mix, Utada Hikaru, and Da Pump. I also like watching music shows like PopJapanTV on AZN to see lots of different groups all at once. As for American music...uhh, I guess pop stuff :P No particular group or artist, I just listen to what's on the radio (OK, I guess I'm a fan of Clay Aiken....don't kill me ^_^;; Also Kelly Clarkson....that whole reality thing popping up again)
Favorite class: (No longer in school, but here are the answers I gave before) Japanese! Duh, it was my major :P I also love to sing, and was in my school's University Choir (and also in choirs all through high school). Another class I really enjoyed was psychology, which I took my junior year of high school.
Least favorite class: Math *screams* No! No more numbers!!! It's not that I'm not good at it (I got straight A's in pre-calculus with very little effort :P), it's just that I find the majority of it utterly pointless....when in my life am I ever going to need to simpify trigonometric equations, anyway?
Sports: I did track in my sophomore through senior years of high school (1999-2001). My events were the 100 meter high hurdles and 300 meter low hurdles. In the 1999 season, I placed 5th at JV districts in the 100 HH and 3rd in the 300 LH. In the 2000 season, I went to JV districts again and placed 1st in the 100 HH (with a personal best time of 17.8) and 2nd in the 300 LH. In 2001, I was sick at the end of the season and didn't go to districts at all :P Another high school sport I did was bowling, which I participated in as a club activity. We only had a couple of team bowls, but I still had lots of fun. The highest score I got while on the team was a 142, and my all-time high is somewhere around 170. I also took bowling at college during my freshman year (and again during my senior year as I grasped for easy credits so I could graduate two terms early ^_^ This was the same term I took a belly dancing class)...you envy my coolness!
Favorite color: Green. I love it so much, my room at my parent's place is painted dark green. Other colors I like include black and purple (and purple was my main wedding color).
Favorite movie: Uhhh, I don't really have one right now...I mostly like comedies, like Austin Powers and the South Park movie ^_^ Oh, and who could forget Kung Pow! Enter the Fist ^_^ Wee-oh-wee-oh-weeee! (yes, it was stupid, but I loved it ^_^). And, of course, anime movies rock...I particularly like Mononoke Hime, Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust and Perfect Blue.
Favorite Disney movie: The Lion King...I've seen it well over 30 times (In 6th grade, I was pretty much obsessed with it). I thought Timon was so cool, and I also liked the hyenas, especially Shenzi (I like characters with attitudes ^o^). The Emperor's New Groove was also cool...reminded me of a certain "someone" (they know who they are...and their picture can be found higher up on this page ^_^). The Nightmare Before Christmas is another cool one.
Personality: Basically, looking at the factors that influence personality, I'm a pretty balanced person ^_^ In my high school psychology class, when we were taking little quizzes and stuff to find out about aspects of personality, such as inrovert/extrovert or type a/type b, I fell somewhere in the middle on almost all the tests. It's supposed to be a good thing, since someone in the middle is supposedly a good mediator between the two extremes ^_^ Some of the bad things about my personality are that I can be secretive and paranoid. But anyway, most of the time, I'm outwardly cheerful...some people think I'm cute and funny ^_^ Though *ahem* due to influence from certain "others" I've become more vulgar over the years....you may notice a dramatic difference in the frequency and severity of swear words if you look at things I wrote several years ago as opposed to more recent musings.
Online activities: I can be found hanging out in various places online. I have a LiveJournal here, and below are some of the many message boards I belong to, in relative order of how active I am on them (there are some I barely ever visit that I won't even bother posting here).
Realiiity.com: A board for reality show discussion, by far the forum I'm most active in.
Daizenshuu EX forum: The message board connected to the Dragonball website Daizenshuu EX
Anime News Network forum: ANN's message board.
Sailormoon Uncensored forum: Forum for the Sailormoon Uncensored site.
Anime related stuff: I now have an opinions page for the anime stuff, so this page is less cluttered.
