Track 61: Shuuichi (a little shaken up from the surprise appearance of his idol) starts out by wondering the same thing I did at the end of the last track (isn't Ryuu supposed to be in America?). Ryuuichi (non-sensically) replies that he shouldn't sweat the small stuff, and that he and Kumagorou will always be together. Shuuichi wonders whether Ryuuichi just came to Japan to skip work. Ryuuichi says that Kumagorou likes to be with Shuuichi, too and makes his bunny snuggle with Shuu :P Suddenly, he yells "Get down! It's them!" and then we see Rage's giant panda robot right outside the window. Rage asks (er, screeches) what Ryuuichi is thinking and demands that he go back to America right away. He yells back that he's busy talking with Shuuichi. Shuuichi tells him that he should probably go back since he's with XMR now, and then Rage starts yelling at HIM, saying it's probably Shuuichi's fault that Ryuuichi came back to Japan. Shuu tries saying that he only went to New York to visit a grave, but Rage still seems intent on opening fire soon. Suddenly, K shows up, saying that he'll protect the company from her missles. He also says that he's not impressed with Ryuuichi's actions, and Shuuichi says that he's confused by them, too, since he probably said sometime that he wanted Ryuuichi to come visit Japan, but only when he had time off. Ryuuichi then says, "But I love Shuuichi." Shuuichi looks very confused and then Ryuuichi drags him off so K and Rage can duke it out.
K wonders what Rage is doing and pleads with her to talk things out instead of resorting to violence (K not thinking violence is the answer? *dies*), but soon explosions ensue, as we can see from the vantage point of Shuuichi and Ryuuichi, who are now on the roof. Shuuichi is a bit caught up in thinking about what Ryuuichi meant when he said he loved him, thinking he surely must have meant it in a strictly friendly sense. Just as he's about to ask him about it, his phone starts ringing. He can tell by the ring tone that it's Eiri calling, and before even answering he begins his apologies (some of it in Engrish: Aimu soorii, ai rabu yu, Yuki ^o^). He only manages to get out a "hello" once he answers the phone before Ryuuichi snatches the phone away from him, saying that he should ignore Eiri's calls. Wearing a super scary expression, he says "You're with me right now, Shuuichi." Shuuichi can only get out a few stammering noises and then Ryuuichi says, "You know how I feel, right?" and then comes VERY close to a shocked looking Shuuichi.
Meanwhile, Eiri is wondering why Shuuichi answered his call and hung up so quickly, thinking maybe he's doing it to get revenge on him. He then thinks that maybe he got hit by a panda robo missle or something and looks a litte concerned (aww, somebody's worried about his Shuu-chan ^_^)
Back to our two favorite lead singers, Shuuichi is thinking about what he should do, even as he starts to get a little carried away with the excitement of being so close to his idol, beginning to describe features such as the downy hair on his cheeks and his fragrance (apparently, Ryuuichi smells like cola ^_^) Ryuuichi, looking very serious and a little angry, asks Shuuichi if he still really loves Eiri, pointing out how he was saying sorry earlier when he was about to answer Eiri's call and asks Shuuichi if he's always apologizing to him.
Back over to Eiri, he can't believe how worrisome he's gotten and starts to wander away from where he had been standing.....
Ryuuichi says that no matter what Eiri does, somehow everything ends up being Shuuichi's fault, and that's not fair to him. Shuuichi, now in tears, agrees that he is always apologizing to Eiri, but he's okay with it because he just wants to be with him. He says maybe he's a masochist or something :P Ryuuichi says that it's okay, he doesn't have to try so hard to explain things, Shuuichi blushes and....Ryuuichi leans forward and kisses him (as I said in another entry: Holy. FREAKIN'. Hell! And it doesn't appear to be entirely one sided, by the way, since Shuuichi's got his arms around him). Shuuichi starts thinking a whole bunch of random thoughts, such as "Mother....I've been completely sullied by show business" ^_^
On the next page, we find that there has been a witness to this little scene....a very shocked looking Eiri. Shuuichi notices him, and is wearing the ultimate "oh, shit" expression on his face (and his thoughts at seeing Eiri are so emphatic as to be spelled out in English as "Y!! U!! K!! I!!) Ryuuichi sticks out his tongue at Eiri, and Eiri walks off without a word. Shuuichi says in his thoughts that this is the "worst pinch of the century!"
We then see a brief shot of Rage up in a helicopter with a camera in hand....apparently there were more witnesses to the kissing scene than previously thought.
We now switch over to Eiri and Touma having a conversation in Touma's office at NG (side note: Touma's hair is now half black, just like Vash's in Trigun Maximum....is Touma running out of power? End of random thought :P). Touma asks him if something happened with Shuuichi, and Eiri says no (riiight, seeing your lover making out with his idol qualifies as nothing :P). With girlish glee (I'm not freakin' kidding, he couldn't look more girly if he tried) Touma says that maybe Eiri came because he wanted to see him....he takes the death glare he gets in response as a no :P Eiri asks Touma whether he thinks he's weak because he can't escape from his past no matter how hard he tries. Touma says that he does believe that Eiri has been trying, but he's having trouble because he's been trying to move on while still not forgetting the past, but he doesn't see that as weakness. Eiri calls Touma a liar and yells out "Then why didn't he refuse him?" (I'm not sure Touma has any idea that the people he's talking about are Shuuichi and Ryuuichi since it doesn't seem Eiri explained what happened). Eiri says it was most likely because he's such a horrible person, and he accuses Touma of having probably always thought same thing about him. He apolgizes for his outburst, and Touma tells him not to worry about it. To be continued.....
You know, I'm kinda wondering what happened to Riku while all of this was going on....details, details :P But who could worry about Riku when there was the RyuuxShuu kiss to salivate over (I've never really "gotten" that pairing, but wow, it IS kinda hot....) Though Ryuuichi is kind of a dick for doing something like this. I'm pretty sure he isn't actually in love with Shuuichi, he's just doing this to prove to Eiri that there IS a risk that Shuuichi can be seduced away from him, so maybe he should start treating him better. But, man, does Eiri really need to go through any more suffering? He's TRYING to forget about Kitazawa, and it's obviously an issue that causes him a lot of frustration, as we can see in the last scene with Touma. Even still, this new development DOES provide plenty of drama, and it was really a surprise (even though there were slight hints of Ryuuichi plotting something in track 57, it was kind of shocking to see that plotline suddenly come back after it looked like we were going to see how Eiri and Shuuichi dealt with taking care of Riku). Bravo, Murakami-sensei, you have our attention....now please let Eiri and Shuu-chan make up soon and build their happy little household ^_^
