The Bear Story

Singapore! Ah that little island in the sun. That's where I am from, although I have to admit I spent less than half my life there..... How old am I? Ermmm.... NoT TeLLiNg!

My family's wandering feet have lead my education to be in various schools overseas, in Penang (West Malaysia), Popondetta (Papua New Guinea), Sutton Valance and Buckingham (England. Not the Palace!)

Although I have lived my life mostly overseas, I have to admit I still love the food back in Singapore (which singaporean wouldn't?) and the ol' Singlish, which without it how would we know if he or she is a fellow singaporean overseas?

Ah silly me, I forgot to tell you my name, its Gayle (errmmm... no force 10 jokes pls). Piscean, living in Melbourne, Australia with my dear mum, 2 cats and a stubborn  Samoyed. My brother is presently in US (yes! we do have the travelling bug!) studying robotics.

My childhood is filled mainly with memories of running barefoot, climbing  trees, bushwalking, picking seashells, snorkeling and fishing, in beautiful Papua New Guinea. If you have a chance, go there, it is breathtakingly wild and beautiful.

My educational life is spent dotted all over the place and mainly spent in boarding schools (which I detested when I first started it, that is where I got artistic and drew myself locked up and mailed it to mum, much to her horror and now she never lets me forget it).

What am I doing presently? Oh, leading a ho hum life. Taking each day as it comes, smelling the roses and loving the four seasons.
