Doujinshi Manga

INTRODUCTION
You may have heard of the term "dojinshi" or "doujinshi" in the anime/manga circle.

The correct phonetic spelling is actually "doujinshi".   It is a Japanese term. The original use means, "people coming together for the same interests," and is generally used to describe "self-published comics."

COMIKET
Doujinshi and doujinshi circles have since
become a very big thing in Japan with a large following of fans. They now have annual & regular doujinshi market and fairs (called either "events" or "comiket" (comic+market)
where doujinshi is sold & bought.

CONNOTATION
Minami Ozaki (author of Zetsuai & Bronze)
is an example of a doujinshi artist who has since become a top professional in the big
league comic industry.

I of course was once involved with a doujinshi circle. You almost have to be, if you are serious about drawing. This is a good way to publish your work and learn from others.
It can be an APA group, but doujinshi groups are usually people dedicated toward becoming mangakas.   Then we all go to Comic Fairs, where each circle meet with fans or with other circles.
Some circles have specific themes, like a popular anime/manga.  Some have no such restrictions.
On campuses, circles post their ads and recruit new members.
Doujinshi for
Coronation Saga
These are (silly) side-plots for my Coronation Saga.
It plays with the ambiguity of relationships, which is typical in doujinshis.
( WARNING : My work is rated PG-13 level, by doujinshi standards. )
( If  anyone finds anything offensive, e-mail me, and I will take then out.)
(Otherwise, take it in good humour. ~_~ )

(to be continued...next, at the LookOut Mountain)
"I walk the fine line between heaven and earth."
