p r o d u c t i o n n o t e s Ah!! This one does have a storyline. For once. It's about a guy who vacations in the Lake Resort, got caught in a storm, ask for help, and settled in the nearby residence of a pair of twins. At the end of the story, the guy suddenly realizes that none of the phones in the house have been working for a long time. And that something is definitely very wrong at the house. It's just one of those artist/creep stories. With one of the twin killing and impersonating the other. But all along, the guy thought he was with the other twin. But for the remaining twin: it's all about survival. The catch in the story is not that who murdered whom, but in identifying
who's actually the twin killed.

<< Oops !! This picture sort of belongs here but does not belong here. This is a study, mainly to reference the staircase in the background. I just want to draw the staircase, so I stuck the twin from the above story with the mermaid from Masquerade. Just an example of how my mind wonders around. Ah! That's why it's important to write a script and stick to it. For me, it's the sticking that's the hard part ^_^. To save time, I write my script in thumbnail sketches; combining script & storyboard. That way, you can job down the dialogs & sketch the preliminary layout at the same time. Sketching is the funnest part, b/c you don't have to commit to anything. The draft for the actual drawing, the one on which the inking is based on, is the toughest. Because then, I have to reference like crazy. Reference: like placing a wall mirror by my desk, so I can make faces at myself ^_^. No, actually, so I can get the hands, the body posture right. So...all the characters you see above...are actually me, me, and more me. ^_^ smile!! Then I have to run around, getting the references for furniture, buildings, trees, backgrounds, you name it. << illustration
