ILLUSTRATION  

To your right is the illustration for Lord Chamberlain, Chi-quai. The Elite. 
He's originally Japanese, but fell for the 
Chinese emperor Suan, which is a 
major no-no, if you know a bit of the 
history between these 2 rival nations. 

He carries his prized sword, "Nubatama", 
the Blackest Black of all black blades 
and its short daggar, Black Crest. 

An elitist and barely escapes accusations of being a misanthrope, he bows second only to the person he serves, Emperor Suan. Very cool & cold-blooded. At the time of his assimulation into Suan's court, he is an aristocrat in his own right, Tokugawa regime. 
 
INFORMATION  

He carries the imperial Centennery, 
a crimson-crested sword. 

Trademark is the dual petal birthmark on his 
forehead. 

A competent swordsman in his own right, 
but lost to Chi-Quai in a teasing dual.  But 
managed to charm his way through crisis. 

Has wife and one kid. 
 
 
 

To your right is a pic of my characters by my friend Rei.  Absolutely gorgeous! 

She likes my character Suan (Emperor of the Sun) and sort of adopted him as her favorite character.  ^_^

The shrawl over his shoulder has 
a dragon motif, which is tatooed on 
with a pen.  You would need to open 
the image up to see the details. 

The original artwork is 11x 14", 
sold at Shoujocon 2000.  airbrush, 
guache, & acrylic. 

This is the same design as the openning 
site_graphic, but no, it's not the same image. 
This one is done by hand, the 
site_graphic is a Photoshop file. 

The expression on the site_graphic 
looks meaner. This one is quite tame.

Nowadays, I have limited time to finish 
full-scale artworks.  So I sketch my 
rough ideas down. I have more sketches 
than I can possibly scan. 

This is a future character in development. 
There are 3-4 new characters like this, 
each with special expertise, 
in early stages, where I try out different 
looks. 

This one looks like the loner type. 
 
 
 

This one is done for a friend, who wanted 
to make a doll out of it.
