The Original Duct Tape Page Yes, this is interesting and fun to me.
This next one is a kinda neat telly show, and I really enjoy it. Canadians rock (hums 'Once I was the King of Spain' repeatedly as she types)
The New Red Green Show!
FANFICTION:
The absolute coolest page in the world, and the most addicting hobby you'll ever know... reading what other people write, and posting your own...
Fanfiction 3.0
Make sure you check out my works and tell me if you like, reviews are always good! Of course, that's if the page is actually working... grumble.... So, Lady Cinnibar is the name you'll be looking at.
My original works can be found at Fiction Press
I've got poems posted there, and some other assorted stuff.... Again, under Lady Cinnibar
Ahem, another cool place to visit is definitely
The Sugar Quill Pure Harry Potter fiction, and boy, is some of it absolutely breath taking! It's pure R/H (Ron and Hermione shipping), though.
For More Harry Potter fanfiction, you can check out Phoenix Song which is H/G, Harry and Ginny shipping.
Another type of fanfiction I'm becoming addicted to is Gundam Wing. Sadly, I've been sucked into slash, not that I'm *pure* slash, but some of it's good writing. So check out Shinigami and Wing if you get the chance.
And of course, never ever forget to check out Gundam Wing Addiction for good Gundam Wing fanfics!
Another great source for fanfiction is Highlander. The premier archive of HL fics is The Seventh Dimension . The works there are well done, and worth reading over and over. Look up Ecolea, if you can. Her works are very well done cross-overs, and you can find them in very, very few places.
I'm also interested in Man From U.N.C.L.E. Fanfiction at File 40. For those who don't know, Man from U.N.C.L.E. was a 1960s television show that ran from 1964 to 1968. It was a spy show along the order of I Spy, or James Bond. Unique among all others, it featured an International Organization, where an American and Russian were partnered. During the Cold War! Napoleon Solo, the dashing ladies man, Section Two Cheif Enforcement Agent, and the taciturn and mysterious Illya Kuryakin, the Russian with a thing for blowing things up. At least, I think he likes to blow stuff up. I do know he gets hurt alot apparently. I'm going through the fanfiction right now because that's more readily available.
One of my pals brought up something, and it's itching at me. Both the Number One U.N.C.L.E. team and the illustrious Mister Bond resent working with others. What happens if M and Mister Waverly both order them to play along? Oh, the sparks could be so much fun to see flying!
Stargate SG-1: both the Show and the Fanfiction (especially that about Jack!) have caught my eyes in the last year or so. I really do have to say, RDA (Richard Dean Anderson) is a handsome specimen of a man. He plays the wonderful Jack O'Neill . He also played MacGuyver, but they're completely different people, or are they? As for Stargate, well Micheal Shanks, playing Daniel Jackson, isn't too shabby himself.
I've given Web Comics their own page. Since they're such a major hobby of mine. :P
ETC TYPE LINKS:
I know these are a repeat, but...
Mount De Sales Academy for Girls was my high school, and a very wonderful school it was.
My college, however, wasCollege of Notre Dame of Maryland, a women's Catholic college with a four year program, along with other colleges allied with. The Weekend College, the Women's Institute, the Renaissance Institute, you can take a look, they welcome everyone to at least take a peek and visit.
Milkshake Butterfly's Web Page is, as I have discovered, a fun page to visit. Alas, she's changed since my last check, so.... you'll have to go to the as yet unfinished New Page
Realm of Fantasy Magazine is my favorite magazine. I have successfully avoided getting a subscription so far, not wanting yet more stuff, but they are an enjoyable read.
The next most coolest page... You have to be a Bar Fly! Join the Bar! Get drunk off literary genius!
A really neat page, but as an image rich place, it's slow to act. Bearing in mind, most of my pics in the waterfall page came from there.
ImageNETion However, as I warn, it is a *very* slow page, and I'm considering deleting the link, as I've been unable to get through for the last few months, due to time outs.
A place to order cool stuff by and about Mercedes Lackey
Firebird Arts
A place for all book lovers!
Amazon books! Also known as an excellent place to get textbooks for college students, for which purpose I enjoyed it during my educational sojourn.
RESOURCES!!!
I write fanfiction. Not much, but I do. And being interested in writing *accurately* whenever possible, I have certain online resources.
First, I always have a link to an online dictionary. This one is Your Dictionary, and it's very, very useful.
Next, I have my links to mythological sources, in particular Encyclopedia Mythica , my favorite. The rest tend to be the books I've got sitting around, or the random web suf result.
Also, to insert a little character, I have lately been reading folk music to put me in the mood of the times. Those fics mostly remain unpublished, due to my primary beta reader having left me. But in order to find it, your best bet is The Contemplator's Folk Music Page.
If I'm writing, I like to be able to convert American measurements to British, so I have a Online Conversion page handy.
I also like being able to *name* my characters correctly. Putting a Sarah in ancient Egypt doesn't work, now does it? So, Baby Center. Baby Names becomes a valued source, heavily laden with advertisements or not.
When writing non-fan fiction, I like to be able to properly graph relationships, in which case, an invaluable resource is This Chart.
Last but not least, this sub page has links to linguistic sites which I use in my fics, in order to sprinkle words here and there, and give my fics a little more character. Language Links!
