before I pass out...

Somehow I feel cheated by people who mass produce jewelery. I was born in November. Fifty years ago the birthstone for November was topaz, specifically yellow topaz. 20 years ago they started selling blue topaz, a cheaper and artificially producable stone, as the birthstone for November. Today I open a catalog and find they're trying to sell frickin' CITRINE. Cheap bastards. If I'm going to buy birthstone jewelery, I want something that's worth more than $5. Thank you and good night.

I'm a Cucumber!

So for some reason some of y'all have been thinking that to be a mature adult you need to leave your childhood and anything childish behind. That you have to look at what you did and wonder what the hell was wrong with you, how could you ever possibly have enjoyed watching those silly japanese cartoons, and why on earth did you ever buy all those comics that you can't really read? Because you're an adult now you think you can't enjoy those things. Bullshit. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. You're allowed to have fun. Sure, its maybe in your best interest not to constantly be a screaming fan, but you can in fact still be a fan, you can still enjoy these silly things. After all, trekkies have been functioning members of our society for years, and while its not the norm to dress up in spandex and go to conventions to stare at Shatner's rug, certainly its being viewed less and less as deviant behavior. My point is that there is a time and place for being a fan, and a time and a place for pretending to be normal. For a fine example of this I would like to refer you to The Strange Case Of Doctor Priya and Mistah Puu, specifically the 10 April 2002 entry.

On the topic of Puu, we think she needs to be turned into a webcomic, presented entirely in SD (super-deformed yo, not San Diego). If anyone is willing to draw this, let us know so that we may cackle gleefully.

I'm sure there was something else, but can't think of it right now.

Jump: 3 Steph: 0

I have sucessfully sl0red the steph on One Piece. She has met the seacow. I also showed her some persona today. She saw Jun and decided he was gay purely on looks. When I told her about the flowers she said "they broke the straight mold when they made him" (on a side note kya and I both agree that Jun's hair is gay and would up and move to France without Jun).

I made a pleated skirt today. Need to draw more patterns, get a box, and mail stuff (peeps to kya, patterns to genli, money to puu) @_@.

Revised Costume Status List:
Curapica - done
Hikaru - mostly done, need parts and materials to finish
Peorth - In Progress, on hold
BaoPUU - lets see if anyone notices I put this here.
Misaki (for steph) - First priority right now, skirt mosly done
Anna - will start after completion of Misaki
Maetel - starts after Anna and Peorth are completed
Jrock Stuff - screw it, dun care right now.

Random Schiznit

This reaction to the april rools article on doujinshi and shit being banned is just ridiculous. Everyone's going nuts over it, the writers, the fans, hell, probably even somewhere there's a rabid canteloupe frothing over it. All of you, get over it. Its Old News (tm).

If I can, I'm doing my soc 1 paper on girlgamers because, damnit I want to. And you all get to be my victims...I mean subjects.

About the Aesthe article and all the responses, I'm not that impressed with it either. I actually pointed out most of the games and characters kristi listed in her blog rant. As for the thing about Square including gay prettyboys in games AFTER FF7 to snag the fangirls, isn't Kefka a gay prettyboy? I'm sure if you dig up his original character design rather than his 16-bit sprite you'll see my point (this is true for most character designs, they look really pretty on paper, but don't look too good in sprite form). I also hold to the fact that the none of the FF games are TRULY bad. The fact that you people have played all the way through these so called "horrible games" proves that they have some redeeming features. If these games were as horrible as claimed you would have quit playing by the end of disc one. For the record the best computer RPG ever was Zork. Any game where you kill the dragon by typing "kill dragon" rocks.

If any one who ever reads this gets the chance to see the rerelease of Amadeus, for GODS SAKE GO.

Puu is evil. She sl0red me and I think I owe her some vital organs for various favors. I owe her $12 too. Y'all gotta remind me. Send her monet..typo...money. Although Monet would be worth more than $12.
