I mixed the upper green for this kit based on the kit boxtop.  (How's that for painstaking accuracy in research!) The blue for the spinner is one of Pactra's flat blues (might have been XF-8 Flat Insignia Blue) and was a perfect match for the decals. I had a lot of fun building this kit.  It basically just fell together, and there were no fit problems, even though twin-boomed aircraft are notorious for them.  I even managed to get enough weight up front to balance it.

And now, for something completely different..... I have a weak spot for show cars, and this one screamed "Build me!!" as soon as I saw it on the shelf.  I built this over about a two-week period in August 1998, thus proving that I can still build models (as opposed to simply putting the boxes on the shelf and reminiscing over past kit builds..."Why I can remember, back in my day...)! Anyway, this was a welcome break from aircraft and I learned a few things.  #1, Superglue (or CA) Is the Modeler's Friend.  #2. Paint doesn't like to stick to chrome-plated parts. (Neither does liquid cement....see #1) #3. Aeromaster Tire Black really does look like what it says.  It is an absolutely perfect match for the vinyl rear tires....you can't tell the molded plastic front tires from the vinyl rear ones. #4. There is no brass paint on the market that will match the brass plating in this kit.

The only real problem I had with this kit was the two halves of the carburetor scoop, which needed filling both inside and out.  I also cut sheet plastic signboards for the signs along the sides and rear of the body and sprayed them red, then CA'd them into their recesses in the brass filigrees.  This covers up the ejection pin marks in the filigreed parts, and provides a neat solution to the problem of masking the red areas inside the filigrees.  I used Model Master Guards Red for the body, and although you can't see it from the photo, used a Prismatic gold pencil to highlight the intricate filigrees around all the windows.
