In the lobby, a sinister looking man suddenly appeared. Serena screamed again.

"Will you quit that!" yelled Raye, "You're embarrasing us."

"Sakiko," the scary-looking man addressed the little girl, "Where have you been? Come upstairs now."

"Yes father," replied Sakiko.

 

Serena went up to her room. "I'm exhausted," moaned Serena.
"No wonder, after all that screaming," said Luna.
"Hey, you were doing the same thing," snapped Serena. "The people in this place are really weird. This could be a real haunted house!"
There was a knock at the door.

"Yes?"The door swung open but there was only darkness outside.
"Excuse me," the ghost woman stuck her head through the doorway.

"Waahh!"
Raye and Amy ran upstairs to see what was the matter.
"Over there!" pointed Serena.
The lights came back on.

"I fixed the lightbulb," announced the ghost woman, "Sorry to disturb you, I just came to tell you that dinner is ready."
"Honestly Serena!" scolded Raye.

The lodge owner observed Raye and Serena fighting. "So noisy," he complained.
"But they seem like nice people," said Sakiko.
"Sakiko, don't you get involved with such frivolous girls. Alright?" commanded the father.

 

Amy, Serena and Raye were enjoying the lodge dinner.

"Would you like another serving?" the wolf-man popped up beside Serena.

"Ahh... ahh... no, no thank you!"
"Raye, why did you make the reservation here!?"
"'Cause it was dirt cheap," replied Raye proudly.
"But the food is wonderful," said Amy, "and costumes of the people are interesting too."

"Thank you," said the wolf-man, "That's the main selling point of our lodge."

 

Suddently, there was a strange moaning noise. "Oh no!" exclaimed the monster trio, "Not again!"

The monsters started looking scared. There was a thump at the dining room door! The girls got up from the table. Raye and Amy got up to investigate. The others cowered behind them. The door opened...
A ghostly form floated across the lobby and then disappeared. "What was that?" stammered Serena.
"I didn't see anything!" wailed the monsters.
"Yeah, it's gotta be only an illusion," stammered Luna.
"Could it be a youma?" asked Amy.
"It wasn't," replied Raye, "But I sensed a very strong power."

 

Upstairs, Sakiko and her father were in a darkened room. Sakiko's father was swinging a coin pendant before her eyes.

"Good girl," he said in a hypnotic voice, "now, open your eyes slowly..."
