Exhaustively Scanned for your enjoyment! Sure, you COULD cast Vanish+Doom on them, but that's boring!
Whelk: Whelk's the first boss of the game, and it's not very powerful. Terra.. I mean, ???????'s TekMissile works well here, as does Fire Beam. When it retreats to it's shell, just use Heal Force and wait. Marshal: Not too bad, really. I advise using the Mog team, so you can use the Dusk Requim dance, but any group that's not too weak is fine. Kill the lobos first.. *sob* Killing wolves.. M-Tek Armor: Not really that hard, two blasts of Edgar's AutoCrossbow should defeat 'em. Have Terra use Cure or Fire during this battle for some amusing results. :) Vargas: Defeat the Ipoohs (like you have a choice). Terra should regular attack, and cure when she needs to. Locke's attack is fine, and Edgar's AutoCrossbow works great. When you hit Vargas enough, Sabin comes in to save you! Use a Pummel attack by selecting Blitz and pressing "left, right, left". He'll die instantly. ^^ Ultros: Battle 1: Yup, battle one. Poor you, you have to fight this ugly octopus a few times more. He's funny, though! Terra should make seafood soup out of him by using Fire. Sabin's Aurabolt (down, down-left, left) Blitz, Edgar's Auto Crossbow, and Banon's Health. Never stray from this unless you're REALLY bad at using Aurabolt, Terra runs out of MP, or you sold Auto Crossbow, none of which are very likely. If everyone is fully healed and Banon can attack, just use Y or X to switch to another character until someone gets hit. :P TunnelArmr: Easy. If Celes uses a non-stop Runic except maybe to Heal, and Locke just attacks, this guy'll die quickly. If you got the Genji Glove at the Returner's Base, Locke should have it equipped to do double damage. Leader: Well, it's Cyan's solo battle, but two Dispatches will kill this guy. Telstar: This guy is TOUGH! You get a Green Beret for the battle, but.. owch. Have Sabin use Aurabolt and Shadow attack and use Shurikens. Sabin may get Bserked during this battle. :\ Also, it summons new minnions. Trust in Interceptor! Ghost Train: If ya wanna do it the fair way, have Sabin use AuraBolt, Shadow (if he's still with you) use Shurikens and attack, and Cyan use Dispatch. Cheat by using a Fenix Down or Revivify on it. ;) Kefka-Narshe: Well, it depends on who's fighting him. I advise Celes, Edgar, and Cyan, which leaves Terra and Gau for one and Sabin and Locke for the other teams, but it's your choice. Celes can use Runic to absorb Kefka's attack, Sabin can use Suplex (X, Y, down, up), Cyan can Dispatch, Gau can use a Rage (I like Stray Cat if you happened to learn it), Edgar can use Auto Crossbow, Terra can attack, heal, and use Fire, and Locke can attack. Dadaluma: This guy dies so quickly, it's not funny. Edgar should Chainsaw (if you really don't like his Random dispatch, Drill is also fine), Locke should attack (or better, Capture if you equipped him with the Thief Glove), Sabin should Aurabolt, Gau should Rage (duh), and Celes should attack and heal. Cyan can use Dispatch or maybe Quadra Slam. Ultros: Battle 2: Ramuh works well here if someone has it equipped. He's easy. Dispatch, AuraBolt, Fire if possible (the Soldier rage uses Fire), Chainsaw, and Rage. Not much more to say, ne? Ifrit & Shiva: Uh, not much to say. Have Celes use.. Fire on Shiva and Ice on Ifrit. Locke can attack, especially with Capture. For the rest of them, Fire Dance (left, down-left, down, down-right, right) works well against Shiva, and Suplex on Ifrit. Cyan's Dispatch is good. Gau's Rage is fine, anything works well. Edgar's Drill or Chainsaw is great. If you're too low on HP or Celes has low MP, use Runic. If you are low on HP, here's what you do. As soon as Shiva or Ifrit uses an attack that Celes absorbs, use Cure on whoever needs it ASAP. Then have Celes continue either Runicing or Firing/Icing. Number 024: A pushover, really. Have Celes use Fire until it uses the wall, in which case you should just attack and heal. Locke should attack. Sabin's Aurabolt is fine, but once it uses the wallchange, resort to Pummeling. Cyan's Dispatch or Quadra Slam rukes, and Edgar's Drill or Chainsaw is good. Any of Gau's rages are good, although it's prefered you use a more physical one, since later on, casting magic on it will do nothing. Number 128: The root of all evil. Well, not really, but it sure can move backwards fast! Sabin's Fire Dance works well. Cyan's Dispatch (or, if your other two members are in the process of attacking, QuadraSlam) is good, and Locke's attack is good enough, although he should also use some magic. Gau's Soldier rage isn't BAD, I guess. Edgar's Flash and Drill AND Chainsaw all work well. When the hands die, attack the middle will full force, and when the hands return, ignore 'em and just pummel the body more. 2 Cranes: Easy. Use Bolt spells on the one on the right, and Fire on the one on the left. DON'T use Fire on the right or Bolt on the left. Dispatch and QuadraSlam for Cyan, Setzer can Slot to heal a bit or attack, and Sabin can AuraBolt. Other than that, everyone else can use Lightning and fire.. well, maybe allow a little Chainsawing or Drilling for Edgar. FlameEater: A little long, but easy. When it summons it's stupid bombs, use a quick Aquarake to practically implode 'em. Ice spells work excellent, of course, but watch out for the Rflect. IceRods work great! Ultros-Esper Mountain: AGAIN? This time, he's really easy if you use the Phantom esper. Fire and Bolt work well. Nothing else much to say, he's easy! Plus you get RELM! After you get Relm, use a Sketch attack to beat him. Ultros-Featuring Chupon!: .... just use Fire 2 on Ultros and Ice 2 on Chupon. Please. Kill them. For the FINAL time. Air Force: Yeah, sure, Ultros REALLY injured you. Cream this guy!! He's actually kinda hard, and long, but, eh. Just hit the middle. Sabin can AuraBolt, Edgar can use.. I guess Flash, and Drill the center. Gau can Rage whatever the heck you want! Strago can use Aquarake, Relm can sketch or use magic, Locke can attack and heal, and Terra can use magic and heal! Celes can attack and use magic and heal, and Cyan can use Dispatch or QuadraSlam! Setzer should mostly Slot! Mog's Wind Dance is excellent here. If a Speck is launched, just.. kill it. It absorbs magic! Atma Weapon: Well, this isn't a long battle, but it's kinda hard. Shurikens work great, and any old weapons that you don't use anymore should be chucked. Terra can morph if she has the ability (might be dark if you used it recently), and she, Relm, Strago, and Celes can all blast with magic. Locke's a good healer, but if you have the Genji Glove with him, I suggest attacking. Edgar's Chainsaw or Drill work well, and Debilatator if you have one. Sabin can use Suplex. Cyan's Dispatch is perfect. Setzer can Slot or attack. Use whatever Rage ya want, I love Stray Cat personally. Nerapa: Girl? Boy? Not sure! Just use Fire on a Rflected member of your party, if possible. Edgar's Chainsaw, if lucky, can defeat it with that auto Dispatch move. Just use QUICK attacks! Phunbaba: Battle 1: Use Bio on him and don't use Bolt attacks. Sabin can Suplex and Celes can heal and cast Bio and other stuff. Easy. Tentacles: You probably have Sabin in your party, right? Use Fire Dance. The Bottom Right tentacle will be healed by Fire, so just don't aim on that one. Have Celes cast Bolt upon the Top Right tentacle while Sabin Fire Dances and Edgar Flashes, and eventually, they'll all be dead, except for the Bottom Right one. Ice it to the ground. Watch out for their evil attacks-it'll suck one of your characters up and deplete his or her HP, and the other will cast Slow upon them. Yeesh. Presenter: Found in a treasure chest in Daryl's Tomb, this guy can be defeated with Setzer's Doom Dart or just by casting Doom on it. If ya wanna play fair or have neither the Doom Darts or Doom Spell, have Sabin attack the Snail, Edgar should Drill (not Chainsaw), Celes can use Fire 2, and Setzer should attack or occasionally heal, Slot, or use Fire 2. Dullahan: This weird chariot riding guy thinks he's hard? Well, he's not difficult, but he's not the easiest boss. Fire spells work superb, especially if used with Celes and ESPECIALLY if she has the Earring. Have Celes blast with Fire2, Setzer Heal, Slot, Attack, and Fire2, Sabin Suplex, and Edgar heal, drill, and chainsaw. Watch out for this guy's hard-hittin' Pearl attack. StormDrgn: Hardest battle in the game. Easily avoided if you come back later, but I love a challenge! My group is usually still Celes, Sabin, Edgar, and Setzer here, and I die about three times before finally winning. :P But it's fun! Okay, this guy's WindSlash will completely murder your party.. unless you have.. dun dun dun! The THUNDERSHIELD, found on Mt. Zozo! The Fireshield also provides 50% resistance. Don't have the IceShield equiped or you'll take *double*damage*! Make sure Celes and Sabin have Life, and both have Cure2.. actually, Celes can have Cure2 and Sabin can have Mantra, but both with Cure2 is best. Thundershield will make you lose no HP's, Iceshield will make you lose half the amount. Windslash does about 1,500 damage to someone without protection, and Rage does about 900. Note that even with a ThunderShield or Fireshield equipped, you won't have resistance. NOW. If all of your characters have Bolt2 (with the possible exception of Sabin), have Edgar use Bolt2. If not, use the Debilitator to find something you do have a strong spell for, like Fire or Ice. After you find a good weakness, have Edgar cast Shell if he has it, and then cast Bolt2 or use Chainsaw. Celes shall Cure2 and Bolt2 (or whatever Edgar changed it's weak against). Setzer shall heal, Shell, and Bolt2. Sabin shall Mantra, Cure2, Bolt2, and Aurabolt (depends on what does the most damage). Celes should have the Thundershield, Sabin the Fireshield. Now, Edgar and Setzer will die quickly. Keep bringing them back to life and healing them, slowly penitrating the dragon every chance you get. Hopefully you'll get lucky.. BONNE. CHANCE. If you can't do it, just come back later. Allo Ver: Well, he can use Doom, but other than that, he's easy. Fire Spells work excellently here, and Safety bits+ Memento Rings. Life is, of course, a must. Pearl and Cure are useful. Phunbaba: Battle 2: It'll be two of your characters plus a morphed Terra, and man, can she kick butt! Use Bio once more, and have the others use their strongest attacked. If you happened to go to Cyan's dreamworld, use Swordtech 7.. if not, QuadraSlam or Dispatch. Aurabolt is bad, have Sabin Bum Rush.. and so forth. You get the drill. Poison attacks work awesome. Doom Gaze: He attacks your randomly in the skies. Just use a lot of Fire spells, and don't let yourself fly in the skies unhealed. It's very, very dangerous. If he escapes, next time you fight, he will be just as weak as you left him. Meaning if you did 5,000 HP of damage, next time, he'll be that much weaker. Keep fighting him and eventually you'll beat him. He casts Level 5 Doom when he first comes into battle, so try to keep your characters on levels that don't end in 5 or 0. Chardarnook: Don't bother attacking the girl, it won't do anything. Fire spells on the evil form work greatest. Sabin's BumRush, Cyan's Dispatch.. Mog's best dance here would probably be the Wind Dance, since the Sun Bathes will heal the damage from the evil thunder attacks that work like a backwards Regen. SrBethemoth: You gotta fight TWO! And the second one will make it like a surprise attack! However, Revify defeats the second one. Mwa ha! BumRush, Dispatch, etc etc etc. My favorite dance this guy is... mm.. Dusk Requirum. IceDragon: Doesn't he look obnoxious? He's really, really easy. Fire2 or 3 will murdilize him easily, trust me. Fire Dance actually works great! Iceshields will also be very lovely, and the Force Armor and Force Shields will save your butt. Tritoch: Spells don't work well on him, but physical attacks murder him easily. Edgar's Drill works perfect, Bum Rush, etc. Lova Sonata is the dance of choice. Keeping healed isn't even a real problem, either. Umaro: Ice spelled won't affect him, it'll actually heal him, but Fire works great. After all, it is a very heavy fur coat, eh? ^^ His attacks can do a lot of damage, but they rarely hit more than one person, which is good. One person with Cure2's all you'll need to keep healed. Red Dragon: Ice, Ice, Ice. Ice and Heal. Can I stress it enough? Larry, Curly, and Moe: The personification of pure EVIL. Ultima would work well, mwa ha ha. Bahamut, even better. Note that Larry, the one on the left, is weak against Fire but heals from Ice and water, and Wind too. The one on top, Curley, is weak against Ice and Fire, but heals from Fire. The one on right, Moe, heals from Bolt and is only weak against Wind.. and I think Bio. Not sure. They will keep Delta Hitting you until one is dead, so, simply, use Ice2 or Ice3 on Curley, the one on top. If Moe casts Rflect on him, pummel him with regular attacks. If one dies, the rest are easy. After defeating Curley, use Fire attacks on Larry, the one on the left. WindDance might be great here, BumRush even better. I suggest Love Sonata or the Wind Dance for Mog, because, while Larry heals a little, it'll do some okay damage to the other two and also heal occasionally. Celes, Terra, Setzer, and Edgar should aim on frying, freezing, and hitting. :P Gau.. who KNOWS what he'll do? :P WrexSoul: X-ZONE, DARN YOU, X-ZONE!!!!! I cannot beat this guy without using X-Zone. If you don't have it *foolish you!* Then I guess.. here's what you do. Kill a party member. Or let one die. Then WrexSoul will come out. After he disapears, revive the member, only to kill him again. Or just use X-ZONE :P White Dragon: A piece of cake. The Pearl attacks are a little powerful, but he's so EASY, it doesn't matter. You know the drill.. Dispatch, Bum Rush, etc etc etc. For Mog, try.. Water Rondo. ^^ Blue Dragon: Bolt2 and 3 works excellent here, and BumRush rukes. Wind Auria is my favorite dance for this guy. Other than that this guy is a SNAP, especially with the GemBox. Ultima, of course, also works well. QuadraSLICE if you have it, Slam if ya don't. Magimaster: There are many ways to beat him, and all but one require Life3 from the Phoenix esper. The Life3less one is by Rasping and Osmosing him to 0 MP, where he dies (trying to cast Ultima, but lacking on MP). This.. takes.. FOREVER. Try having Umaro in your party for the rest of these. Cast Life3 on a member or two (or all four, just in case). Then Berserk the Magimaster. You can Vanish your members, or just use Phantom, if you like, but he doesn't deal much damage anyway. Then Scan him for his weakness, and pummel him with those attacks. If it's a weakness like Water, then dispel him and try again. Or just use the Rasp method. Umaro will also help. Before he dies, he casts Ultima-watch out for this. Unless you have a ton of HP or Life3 on you, you're toast. KatanaSoul: This guy gives the OFFERING! Whoo!! Ultima, of course, and Bahamut. What else WOULD ya use? Bum Rush, too. Let's try a unique dance this time.. like.. hmm... how does Forest Suite sound to you? Just for fun! ;) Dispatch, too, and... erm, just kill him. :P Hidon: Believe it or not, this is an undead enemy. So you can cast Life on him to kill him! Other than that, Pearl works excellent. Ultima and Bahamut will desintigrates those annoying Hidonites. Don't kill Hidon TOO quickly-let him use Grand Train on you, so Strago can learn that Lore. Bum Rush might be a bad idea here, because there's only a 1/5 chance of hitting Hidon. Until the Hidonites are gone, regular attacks, magic, or Wind Dance. Drilling works great, better than Chainsawing. Wind Song is my favorite dance for Mog! Fire attacks work well here. Dirt Dragon: Gaia equipment rukes here, but what I do is give everyone Cherub Downs. Except for that Bite attack, you can't get hurt! The Bite does over 3,000 damage (owch) but Vanishing won't help. That 40 G's attack turns you vis again. Fortunetly this guy dies quick! Ultima tends to deal more damage on him than on other guys-hmm.. Atma: Ultima and Bahamut again. What did you EXPECT? I like using Palidor here too. Fun. ^^ Healing is, of course, a must, and Rasp also works okay. If you deplete all it's MP, it goes baby bye bye bye. *ducks tomatos* Anyway, I'd just as soon kill it than Rasp it to death. Gold Dragon: Water Rondo! El Nino helped me SO much against this dragon since he's weak against water! Bolt spells, unfortunetly, heal him. Ultima and Bahamut, of course, do well. I like using Meteo, too. Fun. BumRush, Dispatch, you know the drill. Skull Dragon: FUNNY LOOKING!! Hehehehe. A pile of bones. :P Fire3 and Pearl are even more effective than Ultima in this battle.. and for some fun, try casting Cure3 on him! He barely does any damage. After this you get CRUSADER! YAY! Inferno, Rough, and Striker: Inferno is the main body, Rough and Striker are its claws. Inferno, the middle, is weak against Bolt3. Rough, the one on the left, is creamed by Ice3. Striker, the one on the right, is burned by Fire3. I say.. eliminate Striker, eliminate Rough, and concentrate on Inferno. If Rough and Striker are revived, ignore them and just kill Inferno with Bolt3. Ultima will cream all three of them, too. Goddess: HATE HER! She always turns my guys into zombies. She is the personification of pure evil. Bum Rush her QUICKLY. Love Sonata works best here, 'cuz you need to concentrate on one-enemy-and-no-healing here. Curing isn't much of a problem, but watch out for the limited time 'till death thingies. Doom: Original name! Just cream him with Fire3 until he makes that dumb wall, then use attacks that don't reflect like Metron, Meteo, and espers. Ultima, of course. Safety Bits and Memento Rings could help, and Life1 or 2 is a must. Guardian: This time, he's defeatable! Bolt3 and Ultima are your best bets. He's not hard at ALL. Why am I calling this machine a he? It should be an it. Okies. Use Water Rondo against hi-I mean, it, because h-it's also weak against water. Poltregeist: Easy. I found Ice3 to work pretty well, and, of course, Bahamut, Ultima, Meteor, etc. Nothing really to look out for. SAVE.. next battle is.. against.. dun dun dun! The STATUES!! Statue: Head, Left Hand, Right Hand: Flash. WindDance. Wind Song. Ultima. Cure3. Life3. That's about it. He does a LOT of damage, but once the hands are dead, BumRush will totally wipe him off the streets. Statue: Five Heads: Yeesh, NO fun! Use the same techniques as above. Ten Hits can cream you, but your BackRow bound characters will repel it easily. Safe and Shell help. There's a lot of them-use whatever all-enemy hitting attacks you have, besides Quake and W-Wind. Statue: Guy and Head: Like the boss name? ;) Destroy the pink thing first, it casts PearlWind. This attack recovers as much HP at the head-thing has.. for example, if it has 5,000 HP left, both of the enemies will recover exactly 5,000 HP. Hard to explain. This is the easiest of the statues. Final Battle.... Kefka: You've traveled for days. Destroyed the fiercest monsters on the planet. Saved the lives of so many. And finally, you've crashed into the enemy. The one who has killed thousands, and made all who survived suffer. If he is destroyed, the world will have peace. And lemme tell you.. This guy is NOT worthy of being 'Final Boss'!! I mean, sure, he can reduce your HPs to 1, but so what? Use a MegaElixer or one or two Cure3's. BumRush. Debilitator and Drill. QuadraSlice or Dispatch. Ultima. One of his attacks involves a weird guy coming up, laughing, and then everything shakes. Then.. "Before the end comes chaos" or something stupid like that, then you get hit, like, 1,500 HP. NOT that much! Suck it up and beat this easy wuss. I was so dissapointed by him.. maybe it's because I spent time leveling up to 45.. which isn't really THAT high. ^^ Finally, done! more FF3 stuff!
WrexSoul: X-ZONE, DARN YOU, X-ZONE!!!!! I cannot beat this guy without using X-Zone. If you don't have it *foolish you!* Then I guess.. here's what you do. Kill a party member. Or let one die. Then WrexSoul will come out. After he disapears, revive the member, only to kill him again. Or just use X-ZONE :P
White Dragon: A piece of cake. The Pearl attacks are a little powerful, but he's so EASY, it doesn't matter. You know the drill.. Dispatch, Bum Rush, etc etc etc. For Mog, try.. Water Rondo. ^^
Blue Dragon: Bolt2 and 3 works excellent here, and BumRush rukes.
Hidon: Believe it or not, this is an undead enemy.
Finally, done! more FF3 stuff!
