Xaixara [51 DARK-ELF NECROMANCER]
(continued)
Xaixara wished to become immortal, to aid Nepenthe with the cabal, to help the other immortals with what they needed. In her note to the Immortals requesting a place in the pantheon, she outlined her life accomplishments, among them the strengthening of Master Cabal and the limited peace treaty with Battle Cabal. Shortly after her note was received by the Immortals, Nimbus, Immortal Leader of Battle, dissolved the cabal. Xaixara could only conclude that her limited treaty was not common knowledge among all of Battle, and that the Immortal Leader, disapproving of it, punished the cabal. Battle Cabal fell during her watch. Again she had somehow embraced the impossible. However, it was swiftly rebuilt, with Aarakocrus as Mortal Leader. Many who had been considered staunch Ragers were not readmitted, most because they were also lawful. Nimbus felt that there was no place in Battle Cabal for a lawful person.
Present at Fourth Level of Master Cabal when Xaixara dropped her body and ghosted was Nyric the invoker. He had just asked to have a look at the leader weapon, the scythe (now average 27, 6/6) named necro, and had just received it to identify it, when the leader ceased to be mortal. Most of the Masters in Thera at the time threw small comforts at her and went on with their lives. When Riallus WindGust learned of her ghosting, having entered Thera shortly after she died, he hurried to Fourth Level and spent the rest of her time in Thera with her. Flenser, the Cleric of Balance, stood by with heals to keep her from dropping her ghost body and hurling to New Thalos Temple. With Nyric, Riallus, and Flenser by her side, Xaixara penned her final farewells on several scrolls and sent messengers out with them. During this time, too, she prayed twice to the immortals asking if any were around to accept her into their rainks as she had requested. Either none were around, or her request was refused, she never knew which was the truth. However, she had never been one to gamble on something she did not think she would win. While she failed to become immortal, she still had a growing young drow mage body waiting for a spirit to inhabit it. So not long after she breathed her last in Thera as Xaixara Windgust, her spirit broke its rest beyond the Silent Gates and entered the body of Kyzha Windgust, her half-sister, formed before her induction into Master with the life samples of Xaiphyronoth and a Master whose name she never divulged to anyone.
