Styx why are you semi retired? You were the best, net to Thrym of course no one can top him, he scared the shit out of me when e posses a mob and stated talking to me...The identify things is pissing me off, fix it, peoole will be happy. One last thing, i played a draconian for most of my early time in the Mists, at one point i was the only high ranking N-W around, and thats a sh me, but my acctuall point is fix their skills, the way they perform is highly unrealistic but the polymorph quest is a real nice touch, my hats of to whoever thought it up. Those seeking escapism at its finest need search no further, some people find that vicarious validation through soap operas, day dreaming, for me its this MUD. When I discovered this place i sold my playstation and stopped watching Tv. What is the fun of beating a program when you ruin a REAL persons day! :) I think that this web page is nice, but I'd really like to see a darkmists history page, and also Druids on DM. Best things about DM: Some nice players, beautiful code, a very large land, hard working immortals, i love Ceran whoever he was, his areas are the best! The RP is has really picked up in the last few months, i even say 'my portal' now, thought that would never happen! Worst things about DM: First off guilds. They are cheesy and ruin the competition, when someone can just flee until their timer runs out and they can jump into the safe coward's guild. Also I think that some classes are definitely stronger. And the house powers are often ludicrous (arcana, crusader especially). Channel should go, as well as spellbane. I think that DM should delete some of the earlier and less impressive or unfitting areas (ie why is Shire in Thera?) the larger the place gets, just makes more real nice eq which is already a problem, and also makes it harder to find people who flee *shrug* thats about it for bitching, i have to say I love DM and hope it stays up for a long time even though it brings my GPA down every semester. I used to play a lot but I don't like playing in a killing enviornment. Plus you have to get rid of some of the corrupt immortals. I've seen some of them letting people go because they are friends with them, making items, giving clues, etc. etc... I hear that they like screwing with the logs too. If you don't correct this soon, I'm sure that dm is gonna start rapidly losing players. |
