Born on 07/23/65 in Stroke-On-Trent (UK), while his mother has just leaved France. His nickname "Slash" comes from his some violent behaviour. His father was an artsist, he made many album covers (Neil Young, Joni Mitchell). His mother was fashion designer, she worked with for many famous individuals including David Bowie. Slash first began his guitar playing on a one string spanish guitar, which his grandmother can attest. The first song he ever played was "Rocks" of Aerosmith.
