7 December 2003-Mp3.com got bought out, and they've closed their site for good. As such my "Souvenir from a Dream" album is no longer available, and has been permanently removed. I have no plans to make this available ever again, so you know how it goes, "you snooze you lose". I'm nearly finished with my second LP.

14 November 2003-I'm back in Hawaii getting my MA in Linguistics. I am also completing my second album, it will be entitled "Uralic". It is a mix of some older songs I never released, more recent stuff, and basically all of it is either redone, or remixed. I've been slowly editing the whole thing using computer software, it's been a painstaking process. The end result, I hope, will be an album better than my first. I should have it complete by around January 2004, whereupon I'll send it out to some labels.

27 November 2002-I am in Japan now. I've been here since mid-August. I graduated from the University of Hawaii with a BA degree in Japanese linguistics last May. I'm teaching English at a small school in Fujioka (in Aichi-ken, a bit south of Nagoya). I'll be here until next August. It's been alright so far, I bought an acoustic and have been drumming about some songs in my head...Good lord, I haven't updated this in over a year have I! Shows how much has been happening with my music. Sales of my CD have been rather slow since it's release, but by some miracle, out of the blue, two copies of my album were sold this past month (one to someone in Chicago, the other to someone in the UK). Thank you both! I was pretty surprised to see I had sold a few more copies. Anyway, thanks for reading, maybe I'll update this before 2004. :-)

16 Sept 2001-Firstly, I reduced the price of my "souvenir from a dream" LP significantly, it is now only $7.99 (from previously being $11.98) for a pristine CD copy complete with full colour inserts! I only make around $1 from these sales now, so I'm basically just trying to get people to hear the album. So go out and buy a copy please!! Again, you can order it here. Second, the review of SFAD that was supposed to appear in the August edition of SonicSpace will be pushed back until the September or October issue. I don't know really. The CD got cracked in the mail the first time I sent it, and I had to send another a few weeks later, so it's going to be delayed. Hope everyone is safe and well during these troubling times...

29 July 2001-Ok, I'm quite lazy. I haven't updated this in nearly 6 months! Anyway, there's some news, so here we go. First, a really nice review of "Souvenir from a Dream" has been put up at the online music magazine Opuszine, you can read it here. It was actually the 400th review on the site! Quite impressive. The Baltimore, MD area music magazine Sonicspace will be reviewing "Souvenir from a Dream" for their August edition as well, so be on the lookout for that! I'm going to try and snag a copy and put the review up on the site if I get a chance. What else...oh yeah, the price of the "souvenir from a dream" LP on Mp3.com rose to $11.98 because of MP3.com's new pricing structure. I only make about $3-4 from the sale of it, even though it's about $12. I'm not trying to rip anyone off, MP3.com is!! I really wish some more people would take the plunge and buy a copy of the album though, I think it's worth your while. Then again what else am I supposed to say? :-) As for new songs, well I'm sorta trudging along quite slowly with those. Just have bits and pieces, nothing concrete. But really, I wouldn't expect anything new from me in the near future. I go back to Hawaii in a month for College, and things will halt completely then. Well ok, that's enough for this update! 16 Jan 2001-Well it's the new year and so I thought I'd update this! Firstly, I have sorta decided to release my "souvenir from a dream" LP as a D.A.M. CD through MP3.com. You will be able to order it through my www.mp3.com/thewaterfalleffect site for a decent price, I'm thinking $7.99. It isn't available just yet, as I have to get the album art in order, but it should be ready in a week or two. I decided to do this in lieu of trying to get signed to a label because it is easier, and I don't have the time to hunt down labels and try and get them to like my music. My earlier electro/ambient 'parallel thoughts' ep I've decided to completely scrap. It isn't very good, and I don't see the point in putting it out there. Mono:chromatica was interested in releasing it, but this would have been only released in Portugal. You can download a couple tunes from it on my MP3.com site as well. In addition to all this, I managed to record 4 demos for an upcoming album/ep (probably album) this past christmas break. I plan to entitle this record 'pacific'. The demos sound really dodgey, and my voice is way off a lot of the times because I recorded the vocal tracks in one night at about 4 am after having way too much to drink!! These songs are very, very simple in nature, basically just an acoustic guitar and a rickenbocker played through a reverb/delay, and me singing over it. That's it. Sounds sorta like Bark Psychosis/Mojave 3, but not near as good as either!! haha. Anyway, no one is going to hear these demos (there's only 2 copies in existence besides my masters, one went to the girl who inspired the songs, and the other to my brother) until I re-record all the vocals next May when I have the time!! By that time, I should have the other songs written and worked out and will be able to record them as well. Check out the discography page for track titles! 4 Sept 00-I thought I should get around to updating this again! Added the Sounds section so you can hear some of my tunes. My LP, "Souvenir from a dream", is almost finished being mastered. I should have copies in about 2 weeks. This is an 8 song Lp, see the discography section for song titles. The 'Parallel Thoughts' EP has been receiving fairly good feedback, I'm looking to release it on the Portuguese label Mono:chromatica sometime in the near future. I'm writing lots of new songs, just got a guitar here in Hawaii and I'm back in songwriting mode. These tunes are very acoustic, very mellow, much like Mazzy star and Mojave 3's first LP. I hope to record them sometime in December. For any of you that actually come to this site, thank you! I appreciate all the support I get.

15 May 2000-Haven't updated this in a while! My CDEP has been finished for a few months now, and I received about 10 copies from the masters. It is no longer entitled "Japanese Heterophony", it was re-named "Parallel Thoughts". The 9 song LP talked about before has been scrapped for the time being. I'm looking to record a full album or ep in a studio sometime soon, but I'm not sure if that will happen this year. I'm looking into a few labels to release the "parallel thoughts" ep, particularly Blueflea, Darla and Clairecords. It may never be released though, so if anyone would like to hear it, drop me a line. There are a few stray tracks (about 3) recorded mainly in December 1998 that I'm looking into mastering as well.

21 Dec 99-I've sent the master for the "japanese heterophony" ep to Horizon Sound studios in Melbourne to be mastered to CD. A limited number of copies will be available upon completion, which should be sometime in late January/February 2000.

1 Oct 99-Well, not much going on right now, I'm in college and as such won't be recording anytime soon.
