Broadcasting
for 2 decades from parts unknown comes the mad man
himself...Madd Maxx Hammer. The legend
of this rock radio Rat-Packer is amazing, as well as his
accomplishments in the
broadcasting and music industry. Madd Maxx started in radio 20 some years ago, and
helped launch many vintage hard rock outlets including Z-Rock in 1986.
Leading the beginning of a long career in hard rock radio across
the U.S.

& Maxx with a Z-Rocker.
He
has worked in cities across the U.S., as well as
worldwide. Madd
Maxx hosted the weekly syndicated Z-Rock
50Countdown show for many years while at the Z-Rock
network. Maxx
is a serious sports fan as well and a dedicated Boxing fan, not only is
he a fan, but also a former proffesional boxer as well. He also reports
in his own boxing column via the Sports
Network. He also was a
staple at Dallas debut sportsradio outlet The Ticket, and the Prime Sports Radio Network. However,
many remember him best from Z-Rock,
or Loudradio.
Madd Maxx
has interviewed many legends
of rock over the years, including: Ozzy, Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer to name a few. In addition, Maxx also went
on tour with Pantera, and Godsmack for several years. After returning from the
road, Maxx worked at a small rock radio station in Bakersfield, CA.. KRAB-FM... where he
was later fired. Maxx teamed up with old fellow radio
Rat-Packer "the
G-ster"
in 1997,
and returned to radio via the LoudRadio network. In late 1998, Loudradio was
purchased by Emusic,
which owned over 100 online radio stations, Maxx did voiceovers for
many of the digital radio formats including; Punkradio, Heavyradio, 70's Radio, and many others.
Maxx
and G-Ster have been
loyal friends and co-workers for years, and were dubbed the original Radio Rat-Pack by radio industry peers. Their antics
together stretch over 10 years, as they continue to spread the madness
and the music. In 2000, Maxx co-hosted Crank
It Up!
a UPN-TV rock video show with
his fellow rats.
In 2001 LoudRadio was sold, went offline, and the Radio Rat-Pack disbanded. Today, Maxx is still
involved in
the broadcast field, and hosts many boxing events on cable television,
and the digital divide.
