FAQ'S
These are some common questions I get asked from my fans, and other people. Now, I have the answers to these common questions. If you have any further questions, or you would like to submit one, feel free to "E-MAIL" me at the E-MAIL link on the menu.
Q: What is SP*TO? SP*TO: "SP*TO is the idea that a former band mate and I developed. It is the idea of freedom, and expressing your own opinions, and ideas."
Q: Where did the name "SP*TO" come from? SP*TO: "Well, (laughs) the name came from, surprisingly, a phone book. One day, I was looking up a certain #, and my former band mate heard the phone rang. I then saw the name "SPOTO," and screamed it. My friend, running to the phone trips, and falls. I, laughing my ass off, said that would be the perfect name."
Q: What is with the star in the first "O"? SP*TO: "That is an easy question. The star in the first 'O' was part of a logo my former band mate and I had developed. The star, I guess, just got un-noticed, so I left it there."
Q: What is "Shock Rock" music? SP*TO: "Shock Rock" music is rock music which has been defined by the media, as controversial, and provocative music, due to the lyrics, or the onstage acts, which might also be controversial.
Q: Where did the idea of the song, "P.M.S." come from? SP*TO: "When you are really pissed at your ex-girlfriend, and you are having a really bad day, I think it explains why I wrote this."
Q: People say some of these songs have subliminal messages of suicide, hate, or even Satanism. Is this true? SP*TO: "The part about hate and suicide, yes. I will admit that a few of my songs my resemble this, but should not affect any individuals to commit suicide, or hate. As for the "Satanism" thing, I do not, in any way, worship that religion. Neither my music reflects any of the ideas. Some may make a controversial statement about the one area in "Chipmunks and Punks." This wasn't my idea in any way, and I apologize for that. As for the other stuff, people should not take the lyrics personally. They are just lyrics, and what I went through."
Q: What is with the long hair? SP*TO: "It's America. If I want to have my hair has long as it is, or longer, I'll do it. It is the freedom, and I like using it."
Q: What are your influences? SP*TO: "Oh wow. I have lots of them. I guess I could name a few. Let's see; there's Led Zeppelin, KoRn, Orgy, surprisingly, Marilyn Manson, Metallica, my parents, the life around me, friends, and society itself. There are lots more, but it would take forever to write them."
Q: Is SP*TO, seriously, a freak? SP*TO: "In my opinion, I am my own freak. I guess we all are, in our own special way. It depends on what you think."
Q: Is SP*TO seriously in therapy? SP*TO: "I was in therapy back in the earlier part of 2000, but I have been discharged, and everything is fine now. In fact, I have begun talking to local high school students about my story."
Q: Is there any access to any .mp3 or .wav files, to hear some SP*TO? SP*TO: Yes. Currently, there is one single found in the "audio" section, and more can be accessed on mp3.com/sp_to.
Q: Is there a way to possibly become a member of the band, or a club of some sort? SP*TO: Yes, there is. If you would like more information, write to the e-mail address, and within about a day, or so, you will have information on it.
