Chapter 9
"Last night Katie made fun of me so I picked her up and slung her over my
sholder-" Nick started
"You lucky man you."
"No bri, thats not the point." Nick old him
"OK so go on, go on..." Brian said
"Well I was goin' to throw her in the water but she told me not to
because she was wearing her new dress."
"Sooo, whats your point?"
"Well, now she is lying on the beach peacefully and she can't hear
anyone come up to her because she has her Diskman playing and....-"
"and what?"
"And shes wearing a bathing suit. So you run down the beach past her
really fast and that will distract her so she won't see me commin' and then
I'll pick her up and throw her in the water to get her back for hat she did
to me yesterday."
"Oh..I don't know." Brian said
"C'mon Frick she made fun of you too"
"Well in that case lets go."
Nick said quietly, "Ok bri go..." Brian took off down the beach as fast
as his legs could carry him. Katie looked up just as Nick tought she would.
Now it was time for Nick to make his move.
Nick ran so fast to her that she did'nt know what hit her. she turned
around and said...
"Nick what the---" She did'nt get to finish her sentence because Nick
picked her up like he would pick up a baby and then slung her over his
sholder.
Brian came back to see all of this.
Katie saw Brian and said, "Brian, please help me. Please?"
Broan simply shock his head and said, "No can do, Miss Katie"
Then Nick continued to carry her into the water. When it was about 2
feet deep he trew he in. When she came up from under the water she gave him
a, "Now its your turn" look. But before she could push him in the
water Brian came behind him and pushed him in. But nick did'nt go down
alone. He grabbed Katies waist and she went down with him.
She was on to of him in the water. He sat up in the then she sat up. He
tried o get up but he could'nt. She just sat there on his lap laughing. He
laughed with her ad then picked herup and threw her again. Brian joined in
on it. About 15 minutes later Nick decided to dry off on the beach.
As Nick was getting out he saw that Brian was tickleing Katie in he
water behind him. He looked at them th looked at the beach. He saw this girl
there. He went over to her.
As he got closer the figure looked familal. It was his ex- Britney
Spears.

Chapter 10
"Nick is that you?" Britney Spears asked.
"Britney?" Nick asked?
"Oh Nickey, it is you!" she ran over to give him a long hug. Nick and
Britney broke up about 6 months ago because they were both on tour and they
didn't have any time to see eachother anymore plus Nick got bord with her.
They didn't have a very seroious realionship because he could'nt talk to her
like he wanted to. She was such a bimbo and a stuc-up airherd.She was such
an airhead. she would flirt constently with all guys. One time Nick even
cought her making out with that guy named Chris from N*SYNC. She was just
like a play-thing to him.
"Whats up Britney?" Nick could tell she had another boob job and was
wearing some instant tan lotion because her skin was orange as usual. she
was wearing a white two piece that showed alot more then you could imagine
"Not much, you?" she said back.
"Well, my family was invited to stay w/ another family on an island for
the summer so here I am. how about you?"
"Well I'm here with my agent, Kieth. He said I needed a break from all
the pressures so here I am."
"What island are you staying on, Britney?"
"Man O' War Cay. U?"
"Dolphin Island"
They both sat down on the sand. Nicks eyes were drifting from her to
Katie and Brian playing in the water. He thought talking to Britney would be
just the thing to get Katie off his mind. But as I said, Britney is a Bimbo
and she can't hold a conversation for to long.
"So nick I was thinking that mabye you and I could go to the movies
tonight. I heard that they have a movie theater on Bird Island." Britney
said. Bird Island was close by and they could reach it by boat.
Nick had to think for awhile. Do I kow what I'm getting myself
into? Then he looked back at Katie and Bri haveing such a good time in
the water so he decided that he should have a good time also.
He said "sure" then Britney said "great". She told him to pick her up
in his boat around 7:00pm. Then she left but first she gave him a kiss on
the cheek.
Just as she left Brian and Katie got out of the water. They say down by
Nick.
Brian saw that girl and he asked Nick, "Who was that?"
Nick replied, "Remember Britney?"
Brian wiggled his eyebrows and say, "ohh yeeeaaa."
"Well we're goin' to the movies tonight."
Just then Katie asked kinda angry, "Who's Britney?"
Nick replied, "Britney Spears. We used to go out."
Katie said disgusted, "Nick I'm sorry bu i just lost all respect for
you. Bitney Spears? Come on Nick-Nack, you could do so better then that."
Brian laughed. Katie gave him a mad look the he shut-up.
"Can Katie and I come with you guys?" Brian asked
"Whoa Brian, you mean like a date?" Katie said surprised.
"Yea"
"Brian I'm sorry but your like six years older then me. But we can go
as friends, i guess." Katie told him infront of Nick
"Well ok by me as long as I have a pretty lady by my side." Brian
declaired. Katie smiled. Thn left to the boat
"Well, bri, you got shot down," Nick said feeling relieved.
"You've got that right, Nicky boy, but that means I'm not gonna try
anything, "Brian said but before Nick could object Brian ran to catch up
with Katie.

Chapter 11
Katie stood infront of her mirror in her bedroom. She was putting in her
small diamond earings. She was wearing a short spagetti strapped white dress
with her 1'' light blue sparkly blue platforms. the dress had a light blue
lacey trim all around it. She though she looked good. She put some silver
eye liner on and some pink lip gloss. She never wore lipstick always gloss.
She had her light blue purse that she broght to her prom. As you can tell
she likes light blue.
Katie ha mixed emotions about the- if you would say "double"- date
tonight. She wanted to go with Nick and Brian because they were so much fun
to be around but she was unsure about Nicks date. Britney spears. she never
really met Briteny but after all the things she's heard about her she
doesn't sound good at all.
Then Katie heard a knock on her window. She opened it to find Nick.
Nick was looking at her hard and he could'nt believe how extra gorgeous she
was.
"Kitty-kat are you ready?" he asked her
"yea, nick-Nack but ummm....its just."
"C'mon youcan tell me, we're friends." There was that word she hated so
much.
"Never mind, Nicky. Lets go."
"O.K"
They fround Brian in the boat. He handed some flowers to Katie. She
told him "thanks" and said that he looked. He told her she looked hot- which
made her blush. Nick put the key in th engine and headed to Man o' War key.
Brian was totally flirting with kati th whole way there. He kept
touching her arm and playing with her hair. She didn't seem to mind but Nick
did.

Chapter 12
Britney was waiting for them at the dock. She came in the boat and gave
Nick a hug. Then came by Brian and gave him a hug. Then came to me..
"Oh... who are you?" She said to Katie in a snotty tone.
"I'm Katie. Nice to meet you." Katie stuck out her hand and britney
looked at it then just nodded.
"Oh." said Britney.
Only Britney and Brian talked the way there. Katie concluded that Brian
was a natural flirt- so was Britney but she was even worse. She was
practally hangin' over both Brian and Nick.
When they got to the movie theater they had to decide which movie to go
see.
"Big Daddy," Both Nick and Brian said at once almost as if they were
little kids.
"I would like to see 'The Haunting'. I love scary movies. I like to
freak myself out." Katie declaired.
"Oh please, 'Drop Dead Gourgeous' is the movie I want to see." Britney
said in her usual snotty tone.
Nick quicky changed his mind and said, "Well, guys I think I want to
see 'The Haunting' too."
Brian and Britney let out mones but then finally agreed that they would
see, 'The Haunting'

Chapter 13
When they got inside the movie theater, they got popcorn and soda. Brian
insisted that they sit in the back. We all not what that is, right? Well, if
you don't its the make-out section. The seating arrangements were Brian the
Katie then Nick the Britney.
During the previews Katie noticed that Britney was playing with Nicks
hair. That got katie kinda upset. Then she felf something on her leg. she
looked down to find it was brians hand. He was rubbing her leg. She decided
not make a scene and just let it pass.
In the scary parts of the movie, like when the childrens faces would
look at Nell or a ghost came Britney would grab onto nick and hide her face
into his neck untill it was over.
Mid-way through the movie Brian started to suck on Katies neck. Katie
didn't feel comfortable with this plus she wanted to watch the movie. So she
told Brian to stop. He didn't so she told him again. She had to tell him a
third time before he stopped. Nick was watching all of this going on. Brian
gave out a frustrated sigh and that made Katie upset so she left the seates
to go get some air. Nick saw her go and then followed her. Britney was upset
so she went to sit by brian.
~*~*~*~*~*~Outside the Theater~*~*~*~*~
Katie went outside the theater to get some air and think. Nick followed her.
she was sitting on a nearby bench. Nick aw her and came up to her.
"Whats wrong, kitty-kat," Nick asked with concern in his voice.
Katie looked away from him and said almost about to cry, "Whats Brians
problem? I told him that we'd just be friends and hes all over me, touching
me and tring to give me a hicky."
"Kate i'm sorry he's like that. Thats just how he acts around pretty
girls." Nick told her
Katie then looked up at him with loveing eyes and said, "You think I'm
pretty?"
Nick replied, "Kate, of corse i do. Why else would I be friends with
you?" He made the last part like he was really serious but they oth knew he
was jokeing
Katie asked playfully, "Carter, your just useing me for my body are'nt
you?"
"Darn the secret is out" Nick said laughing. He then turned to Katie
and gave her a hug.
"Thanks Nick, you sure know how to make a girl feel special" Katie said
during the hug.
Nick replied, "Well, I do try. C'mon lets go back." They were
unconiously holding hands walking back into the theater.

Chapter 14
As they were walking back into the theater Katie stopped Nick...
"Nick, I was just wondering.." Katie stted
Looking up into katies beautiful baby blue eyes he said, "What??"
"What do you see in Bimbo....ohhh..sorry..I mean Britney?" Nick laughed
"Whatever I did see in her I dont see it anymore," Nick said simply.
Katie replied greatfully, "oh good because if you did I would have to
beat you up!"
"Is that a threat Miss Kitty-Kat...Meowww reowww." They both started
laughing
Then they started to walk back into the theater. when they got there
they found Briteny almost sitting in brians lap making out with him. Katie
and Nick just looked at eachother and tried no to laugh. Nick grabbed a
popcorn and Katie and him headed to a new spot to sit.
During the movie Katie had a sudden urge to eat some popcoarn. So she
reached her hand into the popcorn and found Nicks hand there. She put her
hand on his then squeezed it. He looked over to her giving her one of his
"famous Carter girns" and she smiled back. She took some popcoarn and put it
in his mouth. He smiled again and then they were back to the movie.
When the movie was done they got up to get Britney and Brian. Nick
did'nt care that his date was with someone else. He was happy with Katie.
Katie at this point didn't care about Brian either. she was still kinda mad
at him.
They got back to the boat and they took off for man o' war key. Brian
offered to escourt Britney to her door she excepted. So that left nick and
Britney alone in the boat to talk.
"Listen Kate, I sorry you had such a bad time tonight." Nick said
apolegictly (sp?).
"No, no Nick-Nack I did'nt have a bad time."
"Really?"
"Really," she assured him, "It was fun hangin' out with you."
That comment made Nick blush.
"Listen," Nick told her, "I have an idea how about you and I take the
boat out tomorrow, by ourselves, no Brian, Britney, mom or dads, just us."
"Yea," She said getting excited, "That would be so much fun. we could
go snorkleing or scuba diveing."
"Ok, so its a plan."
Just then Brian got back. Nick got up o start the engine. Brian sat
down by katie. Katie got up and stood next to Nick. About 10 minutes later
they all said their "goodbyes" and headed home. Brian appolgized and Katie
said it was ok.

Chaper 15
"Mommy.... I don't... want ...to get up..." Katie said as someone was
shacking her trying to wake her up.
The person just laughed and started to tickle her hard.
She opened her eyes between giggles to find the person was Nick. Once
she saw him she pretended hug him but she tackled him instead. She was now
on top of him, strattled. Surprisingly she was in a good mood haveing it be
in the morning.
"Nicky, you've come to wake me up," She said in a baby voice pinching
his cheeks.
"Yea," He said picking her up off him, "Get ready, were going scuba
divin'"
"O.k turn your back, I'm gonna get dressed," As she said this she
turned him around.
After she was done puting her bathing suit on she fixed her hair then
brushed her teeth. She then said bye to her mom and they were out the door.
"You know, kat, I'm a licenced scuba diver." Nick said bragging while
driveing the boat out to a coral reef.
"You know, I'm not," Prentending to brag also but it diddn't work. They
both were soon in a fit of giggles.
As katie was putting her fins on she told nick, "Nick I have to warn
you. If I see a Sting Ray I am so gonna flip. So beware."
"I'll protect you, kate, after all I'm a strong manly man," Nick said
in his macho voice.
Katie giggled then went over to him to feel his muscle, she was not
surprised to find thm big and buff. "Nick, wow, you are buff!" Katie told
him seriously.
Nick blushed. Katie saw him. She went over to him to help him zipper up
the top of his wet suit.
"Nick-Nack, you go in first- check for sting rays..." She said pouting,
"Then catch me when I jump in.
"O.k," Nick jumped in and swam around for a little while then he came
up out of the water and took his mouthpiece out and said, "its clear,
c'mon I'll catch you now, k?"
"O.k, Nicky, you better not drop me," She jumped and he caught her
right in his arms. He didn't let her go he was just looking into her eyes.
She laughed nervously and he pun her down. They swam around for along time.
They saw all different kinds of pretty fish and coral. They even say a baby
dolphin with its mama. After about 45 minutes they came up for air at the
boat.
"I just love the ocean and everything in it. Its all so beautiful,"
Katie commented looking over at the ocean.
Nick was looking right at her and simply replied, "yea", Then he came
closer to her so that he was like right behind her...

Chapter 16
"Katie," Nick started.
Katie turned around to see Nick standing really close to her.
"Yea," She said with a soft tone in her voice.
"Would it be alright if I kissed you?" Nick was thinking he was going
to be turned down.
"It would be more the alright."
With that Nick bent down and gave her the softest most beatiful kiss
she had ever had. They kissed for 2 minutes then Katie broke apart from
Nick.
"Nick-Nack? Does this mean we're a couple?"
"If that what you want."
"I do."
"Well, My girlfriend, lets do some swimming."
Katie loved being called his "girlfriend."
