The U.N.I.O.N. is run by volunteers who are prisoner families. Often they are the poorest of the poor who do not own automobiles, have money for basics such as food, clothing, rent. But they find time to fight for their loved one's freedom by writing letters, demonstrating and voting in unison. All the new laws put into effect this year were the result of the efforts of the prisoner families. Most of the time they are single mothers and grandmothers working two jobs to make ends meet. The newsletter is necessary for all the members of the Coalition to receive notices of demonstrations, calls to attend important trials, and calls for letters on important bills. We operate solely on your donations. To receive the newsletter a $30 minimum donation is required in cash or postage stamps.
