This table has text samples against different background colors. The table background colors are only visible with Netscape 3.0 or Internet Explorer 3.0 (or higher).

You can see that there are many combinations of text color and backgrounds that are hard to read. Sometimes simply making the text bold or increasing the font size can markedly increase the readibility of the page.

Be nice to your viewers, especially the growing number of baby-boomers with declining eyesight that are frequenting the Net.
