THE HERO OF CHILE IS BACK!

Great welcome reception in Santiago - welcome home General!!

General Pinochet was finally allowed to go home due to his advanced age and the multiple strokes he suffered during his 503 days of arbitrary arrest in London. We, the Chilean Anti-Communist League declare ourselves joyfull at the much anticipated return of the Senator, and proud of having made our voices heard, among with many other supporters in Chile and abroad. Finally Chile's national sovereignity was respected. But as all Chileans, it will be hard to forget the atittudes of the Spanish, English, Belgian and Swiss governments, and their little respect for our democracy and institutions. We thank everyones support during these 16 months, a true show of solidarity and common sense against marxist lies and propaganda. Finally real justice triumphed over vengeance from the communist exiles. Once again, Senator Pinochet has defeated marxism and its international allies, now known as "human rights" activists. These cold bloded killers are the same ones who cry over human rights and who are supported by Amnesty International and other hypocrites. Finally this political fiasco was put to an end by the weak urgings of the Chilean government and Jack Straw. In a last desperate attempt, the ultra-socialist, prime minister of Belgium, Luis Michelle, and the cheap judge garzon tried to stop the release by asking for new medical checks, and continue the marxist vengeance. Lets not forget that it wasn't the complete fault of these socialist governments, but of communist exile traitors who were once Chileans, and urged 'their' governments to take action against the patriot Pinochet.

Pinochet in good spirits, walking, after he arrives in Santiago's Arturo Merino Benitez international airport.

The biggest fact here is that Spanish law failed miserably. They tried every trick of the book, including lies, to extradite and incarcerate the ex-President of the republic, General Pinochet. It failed its objective, to overrule Chilean law and impose their laws on our land. It failed to "punish" our ex-President. Pinochet is finally back, and was received by thousands of enthusiastic supporters...first he was received as a hero (we couldn't expect less) by all the Generals of the Armed Forces and they played some of his favorite Military marches. The General, after living such dificult moments, overjoyed- got up from his wheel chair and walked- he embraced the Commander-in-Chief of the Army, General Izurieta, and waved to his supporters. Lets not forget that Pinochet is 84 and not physically or mentally fit (he had several strokes in England), but this does not mean he can't walk- like many old people, he can't walk long distances. Yet for the pure simple act of the Honorable General to get up and walk- this was enough to stirr up the hen house of the Concertacion. Socialists all over the world were crying foul and said that "he faked his condition", while our irresponsible ministers of Chile's government coalition, claimed it was a "disgrace" and strongly criticized and made a big deal out of the welcome ceremony for the Senator. We even had the idiot Insulza, the Secretary General of the Presidency, a socialist, say that the ceremony "reminded him of the marches they played when Nazi commanders entered cities and towns occupied by the German army". How stupid and ignorant can the socialists get? Insulza and president Frei were probably jealous that not even they had ever gotten such a welcome comittee when they came back from their trips touring Europe. To make matters worse, afraid of "displeasing" their international socialists and social-democrat allies in Europe and elsewhere, they tried to censure the press from entering the tarmac of the International airport so that the General would not be seen. The fact is that the press asked why they were not let in, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Army, General Izurieta himslef told them that the interior Minister had specifically ordered not to let the press in. Of course, like a complete coward, when the minister was asked why he ordered this, he just lied and said he "never issued such an order". When the press wanted to find out just who was responsible for censuring the free press and free speech, the government coalition started blaming each other and trying to shake off their responsibility for such a grave act. Then the socialist Insulza in a cowardly and desperate attempt to shake of all responsibility blamed it on the Military and the Army Generals. At the last minute however, some of the press was let in. Its amusing how a simple little gesture from an old man can get the government scared, worried, and can make them say the most irresponsible things. It is rather amusing that wether the General stays silent or gives his opinion, these fools are always talking about him.

The General walking, caused a great stir in socialist circles.

Another important fact, is that everyone in the government coalition was afraid that Pinochet would come to the new investiture of the socialist Ricardo Lagos as new President of the republic this past 11th of March. However, the only one who reacted responsibly was Pinochet who was not in good health, and who did not wish to upset national reconciliation. Of course there were some stupid chanting from comunists and extreme socialists chanting "judgement for Pinochet" which had nothing to do with the ocation or the moment, as Pinochet was not even present. The truth of how things stand now, is that the new president stated that it was up to the courts to decide wether or not to judge Pinochet and he assured that the courts were independent. So The president will at least try to concentrate on the future and leave Pinochet alone. The way things are proceeding, is that if Senator Pinochet is to be judged, he must first be impeached of his title by an ample mayority in Congress, and then only then can he be processed by justice. This scenario is possible. We think it is a wrong interpretation of the Amnesty Law, and that it might hurt further our national reconciliation.

Recently there have been some worrying signs coming from the Socialists, as they have threatened the procedure. The State Defense Commission (CDE) has also become a part of the case, by putting a charge against the Senator. This means that the state is now involved against him, which muddles the case probably on the wishes of new president Lagos. The president's worry among with his Socialist colleagues is that they have to prove at all costs to the international community that Senator Pinochet will loose his priviledges as Senator and then be able to go to jail. For them "justice" means that Pinochet will go to jail, forgetting that this cannot be dependent on the fact that one man will go to jail. They are after vengeance and want to cosy up to their International socialists and European leftist allies and prove themselves. They should of course forget about the world community in particular those leftist European nations which showed their disgust and little respect for Chilean institutions and law. We have nothing to prove to the world. Another important fact, is that if the Supreme Court were to vote favorably to Senator Pinochet, the government would make a big deal out of it, and many socialists would claim that there was "no justice", because the Courts didn't go along with their line of view. A thrid worrying fact is that the Supreme Court will allow the so-called "Families of the Detained and Dissapeared" to be present, a mistake by giving these leftist pro-marxist pressure groups importance and letting them continue the vengeance and disrupt national reconciliation. Also, Socialist Deputy Jaime Naranjo, also President of the Human Rights Comittee in the Chamber of Deputies, has claimed that if the Supreme Court does not vote to start an "impeachment" procedure, he would start a constitutional charge against the judges of the Supreme Court. This is complete arrogance and abuse of a deputies power, which is unconstitutional (violates article 73 of the Political Constitution). HernĂ¡n Alvarez and 13 magistrates of the Supreme Court issued a declaration on March 5th, 2000 in which it reads:

"The Supreme Court is against all forms of pressure or lies about the tribunals that pretend to deviate their action and exhorts all judges to continue serving in their functions with the fervor, impartiality and efficiency that is possible to demand of them in the administration of justice."

then it goes on to state:

"it openly violates the independence to know the civilian and criminal causes, to resolve them and execute the reached agreement that it confers to the tribunals of article 73 of the Political Constitution which assignates the task privatively to this faculty and excluding all interference by the other powers of the state in its execution".

continues to state:

"the members of the National Congress cannot give themselves individually the attribution of interpreting the Law and even less can they formulate warnings to judicial magistrates about the way that they can exert their functions (the magistrates) that are their own and exclusively theirs".

However, we trust the Chilean courts of law, since only they have jurisdiction to decide, and whatever they decide, justice will be done. However, we think the good general, being in bad health will probably pass away before either of these things happen, as it takes time. We are afraid of the socialist governments of Europe are trying to put pressure on the new Socialist Government and on our justice system. Judge Juan Guzman should not accept any of the biased and fake "reports" he wants to send over to "help" the Chilean courts. Isn't it strange that before he refused to respect Chilean law and the Chilean Courts and their true jurisdiction, and claimed that "there was no justice in Chile" yet now, after all his dirty tricks failed, he wants to "help"? How opportunistic.

Great reception- Some images from that day.

The General has aged considerably these last two years.

To our growing concern, the so-called "Dialogue Table", made up by "human rights lawyers" and members of the Military and other parts of Chilean society is now not working thanks to the intransingent socialists and the so called "human rights lawyers". They boycotted the table just because the Military received Pinochet as a hero. Well what did they expect for an ex-President, ex-Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, ex-Capitan General, and presently Senator? Because of this now they want to stall talks and they want to shame the Military, and make them fully responsible for the events on the 11th September of 1973. They don't even want to recognize that Allende was an anti-democrat and a human rights abuser, and that he led the nation to an economic and moral decay.

The fact of things is however, that the labor of the Armed Forces is flying high, and no socialist government would dare question the free-market policy or the freedom in every sense that Chile is living today. The true patriots will always be thankfull for the Military intervention of 1973, which led Chile to become an almost developed nation, a nation all Chileans can be proud of. THANK YOU GENERAL, AND WELCOME BACK!!
