The Delaware Mine Area
You can't run a mine without diligent miners. And here's one of them. Well, maybe not quite. This is my wife Kathalina doing her best to figure out how to use the miner's drill.
Oddly enough, not many photos taken in the mine turned out, something to do with it being really dark in there I think. :) But this one did. It's a strange one, for sure. This is a shot looking directly overhead in an area of level one. I don't recall what they called this feature, but it has to do with exploratory blasting I suppose. It's also a good shot of the conglomerate rock that makes up this area.
Kath really likes this shot. We're looking through one of the windows of one of the surface buildings at Delaware Mine. I dont remember which one it is, I think it might be the powerhouse or something.
Another shot of surface remains at the mine. Pretty much proves that nature will win out in the end I guess.
