Circle Casting This is something I wrote, and for you pagans of any path, feel free to use it. Although most pagan paths are about the earth and life, I've discovered that there are a lot of other pagan vampire fans out there. Something about the darkness, the very anti-life of the vampire strikes a chord deep within us... perhaps as an image of the things we could figuratively be capable of if we're not careful with magick.

So, if this suits your path, use it, or share it with a friend, or just enjoy it as poetry.

Round the circle, elements four,
God and Goddess of legend and lore,
Soul and body, heart and mind,
I set aside this space and time.

In the north, the living earth,
Spirit of growth and strength and worth.

In the east, the flowing air,
Spirit of thought and will and care.

In the south, the blazing fire,
Spirit of love, life, and desire.

In the west, the water runs,
Spirit of life, cycle never done.

All around, the Lord and Lady,
Watch and in the works here aid me.

Life and death and moon and sun,
Come to me and work as one.
Ground and sky and flame and sea,
The circle is cast, so mote it be!
